  1. Mathews was in Arizona. NHL players should get out of USA and come to Canada to be safer at least. Especially if they have children.
  2. 26 players just reportedly tested positive for covid. Ctv news reported. Not sure but I think all players testing positive should not play this playoffs.
  3. 26 players test positive https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/mobile/video?binId=1.1164782&clipId=1986567&playlistId=1.5004958&playlistPageNum=1#1986567
  4. I'm hoping Podz owns the means of production and Tryamkin can end the exploitation and oppression of our proletarian defense.
  5. It would be cool to have Podz and Tryamkin add their perestroika to the club. They can tell Russian jokes to each other in the dressing room.
  6. With Bettman in charge we don't stand a snowballs chance of a 1st. Him and his little mystery adjudicator lottery box.
  7. I think all contracts will have them in some way. Right to refuse work if there's contagion, health insurance. Revenue shortages and reducing contract sizes.
  8. The players and their union should enforce their will and get these summer games in Canada.
  9. But how long is the risk for contagion? His fellow millionaires would want to know.
  10. So this should disqualify Mathews from the summer playoffs. Nobody would want to go near him. Or mistakenly grab his water bottle.
  11. If I could pay for only Canuck games I would cancel my Telus cable subscription. And only keep wifi
  12. I think JB and Diamond have had more than enough time to make a deal. I'm pretty sure they're just waiting for all the other dominoes to drop. Scheduling, start up date, cap space, and any trade action on current D men. I don't see Tryamkin's return contract size being a deterrent to him coming back.
  13. The players should decide where they want to play. Its their health at risk here, not Bettman sitting in his bunker in New Haven or wherever.
  14. Too bad we don't get any Comets games here. Feel left in the dark about a lot of our junior players.
  15. Tryamkin was a placeholder captain till Nigel Dawes was healthy. They always wanted the team scoring leader to be captain. That's Tryamkin's home town. He'd drive the zamboni if they asked him. But during league play, Tryamkin spoke to the refs for all penalty explanations.
  16. Pay the 3M bonus. Retain 3 of the 5M salary owed. Trade to a team who will pay him 1M per two seasons remaining and reach the cap floor. 1M for an experienced 4th liner.
  17. Offside Article: Minnesota had a mediocre 27-23-7 record when they fired Bruce Boudreau on February 14, and went 8-4 under new head coach Dean Evason before play was halted on March 12. The Wild had the sixth-best points percentage (.658) in the NHL after February 1, while the Canucks (.444) were 26th. If you increase the sample to games since January 1, they were closer, although the Wild (.607 P%, 8th) were still well ahead of the Canucks (.552 P%, 18th). The Canucks’ perceived biggest advantage is in goal, where Jacob Markstrom is expected to go up against Alex Stalock, a career NHL backup prior to this season. But Stalock is a major reason for Minnesota’s turnaround, posting a .920 save percentage in 18 games since January 1. Markstrom, in that time, posted a .915 SV% in 16 games. It’s also interesting to look at how players on both teams performed since January 1. JT Miller was a beast for the Canucks, holding a big lead in scoring with 36 points in 29 games, while Quinn Hughes scored at many points (25) as did Elias Pettersson. Brock Boeser missed 12 games due to injury and struggled offensively (7 points in 17 games), while Tyler Toffoli scored 10 points in 10 games after coming over in a trade with the LA Kings. Minnesota, meanwhile, was relatively healthy down the stretch, and were led by 23-year-old Swiss forward Kevin Fiala. They acquired Alex Galchenyuk in February, in a trade that sent Jason Zucker. What remains to be seen is how these two teams match up following more than four months off. The Canucks were limping to the finish line when the season was paused, but they’ll be close to full health by the time the puck drops again, depending on the status of Micheal Ferland and Josh Leivo. Was Minnesota’s strong play in January, February, and March a sign of a good team finding their footing? Or was that a hot streak, which has been cooled off by a long layoff? How will age come into play? Most of the Canucks’ stars are in their early-to-mid 20s, while the Wild are led mostly by players above the age of 30. These are of course unprecedented times, which adds an additional wrinkle into any prediction.
  18. Congratulations to the new bride and groom. Mr and Mrs Gaudette ....Adam and Micheala
  19. Also it will be to see how he adjusts our lines under pressure. Game to game adjustments especially if someone like Fiala goes nuts out there.
