I dont even care if it lessens the broadcast value. Give up some broadcast pedigree for less covid in the surrounding communities. If Arizona is trending up, drop them. Go somewhere its safer. Wives are going to want to shop. Young guys are going to get texts from pretty girls. And if the Starbucks are safer here than Arizona forgetahboutit. Move it.

I would say just let him go, let bygones be bygones. We have enterprising prospects on the rise to fill that gap.
-
How far away is he developmentally would you say. From having a legit shot at the big club?

Wonder if they get delayed a year? Then all protection forecasts have to change. I could see something like that from Buttman.

Yeah, sometimes the lynch mob mentality can be a bit much. -

Where's Sabrefan? Love to get his take on these changes. -
Vegas named NHL hub city when play resumes
Hairy Kneel replied to Cromeslab's topic in General Hockey Discussion
The last thing they need this playoffs is 5-6 period games, guys will get hurt, by risking higher fatigue, and any lack of rest with a compressed game schedule(s) puts player closer to burn out. We don't want shootouts, just use 3 on 3, or 4 on 4 OT's to get games over with quickly especially if they have to play the next day. Our average playoffs take 2 months to finish. We need the games but not the long games that finish at 1 am. -
[Signing] Golden Knights re-sign Ryan Reaves
Hairy Kneel replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
so does he get 1.7 for the rest of this playoff season, then 1.7 next year? edit: per Cap geek his pay 2019-20 $2,775,000 -
You say his thread is annoying and he hasn't contributed to the team, he's a project. And we own his rights. Why wouldn't we look at his upside especially after signing so many bottom feeder defensemen. He's a free asset. Who is your favorite D man after Hughes?
-
Why wouldn't you highlight any of his positives. His duels with Benn or the Ducks. His scrap with a fellow ruskie defending Shore. How he helped settle down the bottom pairing when dumbass finally played him? So basically what you did was make a mud pie of his thread and called it a substantiated viewpoint. Brock,Hughes,Edler? Tryamkin was a THIRD ROUND PICK. He was increasing his value as he played. What about him crushing Richardson in half breaking his leg without even trying? Why was he one of our leaders in hits? Anyone can compare all star first rounder threads with long shot third rounders and look smart. Why even bother coming on a thread than to just leave a huge dump.

NHL's "Super 16" goaltender list has Markstrom at 13
Hairy Kneel replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
Marky can have this list in his locker. Give him something to prove in the playoffs. -
The longer this summer goes the shorter next season becomes. So if we only get a 60-70 game season next year does that effect salary? Contracts signed for an 82 game season.
-
Tryamkin will be leading our team in hits when he comes back. (Including highlight hits) And he'll be leading our D in plus minus before too long. He'll improve our pk. Probably pk2 to start. No one on our current D can hit as hard as Tryamkin.

How can a former 3rd rounder be a "ringer"?
-
What if the players union and owners organized a reduction in pay for one season? The top 50% of higher paid players take a 10-20 wage cut for one season till we get over covid losses. Sign all our bottom players at covid rates. Till revenues are figured out.

[Report] Chris Tanev, Canucks want new contract
Hairy Kneel replied to peaches5's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I don't see Risto being moved unless it's a overpayment like Brock and Podz or Brock and Jake. I still say grab Dillion ufa from Surrey. 3M per. Let one of our young D emerge. Keep Hughes in charge of our pp. -
I hope Tryamkin is scouting Minnesota tapes.
-
I think JB could get a reasonable contract out of Diamond. By his social media Tryamkin has a definite connection and affinity here, plus Diamond has to understand there is a Covid 19 factor in our cap.
-
who else can we get to do what he can, clearing the crease and hitting, for free on the cheap?
-
I don't get why there are so many detractors on Tryamkin getting resigned. He's a free asset. He wants to play here. He checks what we need as a physical presence we SO desperately need. We keep signing bottom feeder UFAs that don't pan out. Our defense looks like a tire fire against bigger teams in our zone. Especially when their tired in the second game of BTB games. Our defense looks pathetic getting the crease cleared or getting the the puck out our zone. I think most of this negative rhetoric is being made up by anti Canuck journalism. Teams that would pile over each other to get his rights. If I'm a Toronto fan of course I'd fuel that narrative. If offered I'm sure JB would be, and has been offered a substantial amount to acquire Tryamkin's rights. Bashing a 3rd round free asset because of where he's from? Some fans swallowing that tripe is mind boggling.
