Finally hit 80 points again for the first time since my 3rd season....but got swept in the first round
Time's running out on my career, depending on how things go next few years might need to go elsewhere to chase a Cup. 3 more years on my 8 year deal though so we'll see.
I still haven't made it past the 2nd round. been a consistent playoff performer in all his short playoff runs though. hopefully we can pick up those few pieces, my guy is only getting older
Finally made it back to the playoffs after missing the last 2. 14 games is ambiguous did we get knocked out in the 2nd or 3rd round? Are the Sharks on the up swing? I’m assuming we maybe retooled a bit since you said a few seasons ago that we were an older team and we’ve missed the playoffs last few years.
o wow, looks like I made the US national team, nice job
putting up some really nice numbers, 84, 75, 71 points the last 3 seasons
how good are the Sharks? looks like we keep getting knocked out in the first round. am I the first line C?
Holy breakout season, 33-51-84 good stuff
Not sure why my guy would sign a 4 year 2.25M AAV deal after a breakout season like that though lol...2.25M is way too low and 4 years is too long with only one good season under the belt
Sidney Crosby comparable...damn
Shot way up the rankings, from 50th to 27th and then drafted 22nd, impressive stuff.
Looking forward to being a San Jose Shark!
Thanks @Patrick Kane for a great league and for all the GM's for making it such a good time! This really helped me get through the boredom of rona szn and I'm glad it brought me back to CDC as I missed y'all!
In the meantime I guess I'll go back to being inactive again...catch you guys on the flip!
The Oilers went into the offseason with 9.5M looking to improve our depth, and that's exactly what we were able to do. We welcomed 5 new forwards to our bottom 6 and a bottom pairing D who we identified as all being incredibly defensively responsible. This will greatly complement our strong top 6 forward group who have been consistently potting goals the past few seasons, along with our strong top 4 defensive core with Hedman and Myers likely getting large boosts and #15 ranked Niemi in net.
We will be going into the season with this lineup.
Pirmin Walker - David Krejci - Ales Hemsky [A]
Alexander Steen - Jarret Stoll - Jarome Iginla [A]
Kris Versteeg - Jeff Halpern - Jed Ortmeyer
Jochen Hecht - Saku Koivu - Mike Grier
Ladislav Smid - Ryan Whitney [A]
Victor Hedman - Tyler Myers
Tom Gilbert - Mike Komisarek
Antti Niemi
Devan Dubnyk
Ready to build on last years first round exit with an even stronger performance this year! Hopefully a full year of Elliott and new additions McCauley, Yelle, Wallin will boost our GA and PK which were major issues last season. Offense is more or less the same as last years which finished near the top of the league so overall this should hopefully be a better year!
Ales Hemsky [C] - David Krejci - Jarome Iginla [A]
Kris Versteeg - Brad Richards - Alexander Steen
Pirmin Walker - Jarret Stoll - Matthias Ferrari
Alyn McCauley - Stephane Yelle - Wade Jarvis
Ladislav Smid - Ryan Whitney [A]
Victor Hedman - Tom Gilbert
Niclas Wallin - Tyler Myers
Brian Elliott
Viktor Fasth
