PK uploaded the 60 game AHL stats on Discord League Talk, teams may PM me for a 60 game prospects stats update as well. 2022 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 4 The Rare Flag Edition Ziga Kovacic (C) A Slovenian two-way forward, Kovacic has played the past 3 seasons in the top Austrian league. It is likely that he will sign an NHL contract immediately and join the AHL, unless he finds a new team in a different European league. Kovacic isn't a very flashy player, he gets the job done in a simple and clean manner. He is a smooth skating center that has put up 161 points in 135 career games in Austria. Shaqir Djurovski (C) Djurovski is a Macedonian playmaking forward with good size at 6'3. As a 17 year old, Djurovski has been playing a key role for Jokerit in the KHL playing almost 15 minutes a game with a key role on the powerplay. The numbers are there, with 28 points in 45 games. Djurovski will need to work on rounding out his 200 foot game, he has a tendency to focus on the offensive side of the puck only, and doesn't use his size to his advantage. Kamil Obraniak (RW) A true Polish Prince, Obraniak is a 6'2 220 lbs playmaking winger that has split time this year between Farjestad in the SHL and their J20 team. Appearing in 10 SHL games, Obraniak has 1 assist while he has 5 goals and 14 points in 25 games at the J20 level. Many scouts think Obraniak will need to work on improving his shot and defensive game in order to become a significant NHL player. Balazs Farkas (LD) Farkas is a Hungarian offensive defenceman that is currently in his first season with Erie in the OHL after being selected 4th overall in the CHL Import Draft. Playing primarily with Winnipeg Jets 1st rounder Jean-Francois Paradis, Farkas currently has 6 goals and 32 points in 58 games. Farkas projects as more of an all around defenceman at higher levels, his offensive prowness isn't elite enough to be relied upon as a point producer. Martin Leitgeb (C/RW/LW) Leitgeb is a whopping 6'7 and 227 lbs two-way forward currently playing for Salzburg in the top Austrian league. Leitgeb has excelled, with 32 points in 34 games thus far. Scouts are dying to see Leitgeb use his size to his advantage more, right now many consider him a friendly giant. There are some scouts who are wondering if Leitgeb needs to come to North America ASAP in order to try and make him more aggressive.

The power of Elias can only take us so far.. At least he's been able to take us here though, unlike that bum McDavid. Oh yea, that guy is likely moving this offseason so get your offers in. Looking for non-cowards in exchange.

We have reached the 2022 Olympics in Norway. The games are set to begin on February 16th, while NHL action resumes on February 23rd. This means that it is likely that teams will be losing players due to scheduling overlaps. No teams will be allowed to make callups to fill holes, you will just have to play with what you got (I think it will likely only be an issue for players from countries that go deep). 2022 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 4 The Defenceman Edition Andrey Yanovskiy (LD) A 6'3 233 lbs Russian Playmaking Defenseman that is actually in the Jokerit system in the KHL has split the year between the KHL and the Jr A league. In 27 KHL games, Yanovskiy has a respectable 5 points, but has torn apart the Jr A league with 20 points in 14 games and a 7.83 AVR. Yanovskiy may be viewed as more of a traditional two-way defenceman in the future, he will always be one of the strongest guys on the ice. Collin Cocca (RD) The Coquitlam BC native is currently in his 2nd season with the Kootenay Ice in the WHL. Listed as a two-way defenceman, some scouts are projecting Cocca to end up as more of a defensive defenseman at the next level. This can be attributed to his strong takeaway statistics, with 52 this year to go with 28 giveaways in 51 games. Cocca isn't the biggest point producer, with a combined 44 in 123 WHL games. Zac Addison (LD) A smaller defenceman at only 5'10, Addison is a player who plays bigger than his size. This season with Owen Sound in the OHL, Addison has 6 goals and 37 points in 50 games thus far. Addison is a very smooth skating defenceman, whose strength doesn't project to be an issue in higher levels. Over his 3 seasons in Owen Sound, Addison has gotten more and more defensively responsible as evidenced by his AVR rising from 7.15 to 7.31 to 7.48. David Croz (RD) A 6'4 211 lbs offensive defenceman, Croz is a point producer with 7 goals and 30 points in 49 OHL games this year for Saginaw. With such a big frame, Croz sometimes leaves scouts wanting more, as he fails to fully live up to his potential that you would want from a defenseman this big. Although Croz will rack up the hits, scouts want to see him gain strength to fully punish forwards in the offensive zone. Ben Ballhorn (RD/RW) Dubbed the Human Wrecking Ball, Ballhorn is a playmaking defenseman that is 5'10 and a whopping 211 lbs. This season for Flint in the OHL, Ballhorn has 3 goals and 22 points in 49 games, but 170 hits and 89 shots blocked. Ballhorn is a smaller, in your face defender that is always willing to sacrifice for his team. Ballhorn may not project as an offensive contributor at the next level, but his ability to play both D and F can make him a future fan favourite.

Here's where things stand heading into tonight. Hopefully we see some of these series' extended so not all of them end in 5, but in the case that all do, that means our Entry Draft thread may be posted as early as Wednesday. Also, mentioned this on Discord as well, but if teams could notify me of their decision of who they are using their compliance buyout on, that would be well appreciated. I currently have the buyout for 8 teams, will announce all of these in waves of 10.

2022 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 3 The Producers Edition Connor Dos Santos (C) A 17 year old center that is absolutely tearing up the OHL, leading the league in points with 67 in 38 games. Dos Santos is a finesse forward who has burst onto the scene in his rookie OHL season, but is noted to have major character issues. He refuses to go to the gym and train to get stronger, he refuses to enter the defensive zone, and he cherry-picks and waits for the puck at the opposing blueline. Dos Santos has professional bloodlines to Vancouver Whitecaps FC Manager Marc Dos Santos. Max Abbandonato (RW/C) Some scouts call him the WHL's version of Dos Santos, another player with major character issues. Abbandonato has 31 goals and 54 points in 40 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings thus far, and is a key part of a team that is the top team in the Eastern Conference, with no NHL Draft Picks. Abbandonato is a goal scoring winger who shouldn't be relied upon to make any appearances in the defensive zone. Noah Levine (RW/LW) Levine is taking a longer route to the pro game, playing in high school hockey in Maine until joining the LA Selects Midget Program this year. Through 26 games, Levine has 51 points and is showing he should be capable of playing in either the AHL or NCAA next season. Levine is a smooth skating playmaking forward, but will need to adjust to playing against stronger competition in order to show he can be an NHL player. Alex Carr (LD/RD) Playing for the Odessa Jackalopes in the NAHL, Carr is a big point producer with 45 points in 31 games. Carr is an offensive defenceman who loves to jump into the play, and try and produce offense whenever he can. There are some concerns to whether Carr's game will translate to any higher leagues, but Carr possesses some attributes that has scouts excited about his game. Carr may look to play in the AHL next season if he cannot secure an NCAA scholarship. Zdenek Chmelicek (LD) Picture this: A 6'7 231 lbs defenceman that has 15 goals and 33 points in 18 games this season. Although some scouts think Chmelicek is a Zdeno Chara regen, he is not. Chmelicek is set to blaze his own pathway to the NHL after being a heavy producer in the Czech 2 league. He may end up playing for Windsor in the OHL next year, where he'll look to to continue his development and become a dominant force in the NHL.
