VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS OFFSEASON PLANS Heading into the draft, Vegas is looking to add 1-2 Top 6 Forwards and 1-2 Top 4 Defenseman that are prime aged and fit in with our current core. We are primarily willing to part with futures in order to make this happen, and feel we are a good fit for teams that are cap strapped, as we have a lot of cap space heading into the offseason. Some of the pieces that could move via trade include and are not limited to: Casey Mittelstadt, Rasmus Asplund, Michael Rasmussen, Martin Kaut, Ty Dellandrea, Liam Foudy, Jesper Boqvist, Cal Foote, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Raphael Lavoie, Samuel Poulin and all 2020 Draft Picks including 16th overall. We also have a surplus of young NHL depth forwards, and wouldn't mind moving 1-2 for similar depth defenceman. These forwards include: Blake Lizotte, Trevor Moore, Dylan Gambrell, Rudolfs Balcers, Jake Evans and Zack MacEwen. Discussions are not just limited to the players listed above, we are willing to talk trade on just about anyone! Any teams interested in reaching out should contact both @Blue Jay 22 and I via PM, or via Discord. (For those of you that are currently not apart of our league Discord channel, I highly recommend you do so especially as we head into the offseason. It is a very easy way of communication and is preferred over PMs by many GMs. Invite Link: https://discord.gg/22UBqpR )

2022 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 2 OTHER TOP PROSPECTS EDITION Jan Gebre Selassie (C) Gebre Selassie is a Czech defensive centerman currently ranked 6th in the preliminary draft rankings. At 6'3 202 lbs, G-S has very good size and strength, and is an excellent skater. Through 16 games with Trinec in the top Czech league, G-S has 12 points in 16 games so far this season. Although considered a defensive forward, many scouts consider Gebre Selassie to be more of a two-way forward, as he actually does have some offensive potential. Evander Chauviere (RD/RW) A 6'6 skater who can play both D and F? Chauviere is listed as a two-way defenseman currently playing for Saskatoon in the WHL. Chauviere is an insanely strong player, and can bully players around the ice. Through 27 games this year, he has 19 points (playing defense), to go with 89 hits. Many scouts consider Chauviere to be a pretty raw skater, lots of his offensive attributes are a bit underdeveloped, however Chauviere may have one of the highest ceilings in this draft. David Hunter (LW) It is ont often you see a checking forward ranked in the top 10 of a draft but Hunter has been able to make an early name for himself. The 6'1 220 lbs forward has shown some offensive touch this year with 24 points in 28 games, with a non stop motor and impeccable strength. There are some questions as to whether this offense would be able to translate to a future level, and this may cause Hunter to slide down draft boards this offseason. Terrell Brett (G) With many teams in need of a top goalie prospect, Brett may find himself drafted in the top 10 this year. In his rookie season in the OHL, Brett has a pedestrian .883 sv% for Windsor in the OHL, however he has a strong 14-6-3 record. At 6'4, Brett has the size to make it as a goalie, but some scouts are being led to believe off of this limited sample size that Brett is not and will not be as good as Montreal prospect Tristan Deschamps could be. Tim Ikpide (RW/LW) Ikpide is a 6'3 211 lb winger who has incredibly played in the DEL since he was 14 years old. Ikpide has shown some offensive capabilities, with 98 points in 153 DEL games. Ikpide is a finesse forward who is still pretty raw, playing bottom 6 minutes in a pro league for the last 4 minutes hasn't done much to help his attributes grow. However, playing in a pro league since the age of 14 will get you attention, and that is what Ikpide is getting as he's currently ranked in the top 10.

2022 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 1 The Projected Top 5 Edition Michael Lowe (LD) A defenceman from Kitchener in the OHL, Lowe is the clear cut favourite to be the #1 pick in this summer's Entry Draft. A late birthday, Lowe has dominated the OHL in every year he's played in the league to date, putting up around 50 points in 63 games and an AVR in the 7.6 range in 2019-20 and 2020-21. This season, he's off to a fast start with 2 goals and 11 points in 16 games. Lowe will have no issues stepping directly into the NHL next season. Kellan Calisti (RW) Calisti truly made a name for himself last year, after 65 points in 61 games during his rookie season for Moncton in the QMJHL, to go along with an absurd 7.89 AVR. This season, Calisti is off to a similar start with 5 goals and 16 points in 17 games. Calisti is a two-way forward with no major holes in his game, he may be regarded as a "safe" pick in this upcoming Entry Draft. Anthony MacMaster (LD) A boom or bust type prospect, MacMaster is regarded right now as the second best offensive defenceman in this draft behind Lowe. MacMaster is an exceptional skating defenceman who has all the tools to run a powerplay in the NHL and put up points. The issue with MacMaster's game is that he is not very strong, and he tends to play like a 4th forward with no regard for the defensive side of the puck. There's no denying his ability to put up points with 14 in 17 games thus far for Swift Current. Patch Novak (LW/RW) The Anaheim Jr. Ducks program keeps churning out top talent. Novak is a 6'2 goal scoring winger who is looking to follow the footsteps of former teammate Matt Resop and be a top 5 pick in this year's draft. Novak may be the prospect with the best shot in this draft, although his stats may not necessarily show it with 4 goals and 14 points in 9 games this year. Novak is a player who is all offense, no defense, he only plays one way and it is on the offense. Stanislav Gorbatenko (C) A smaller playmaking center at 5'11, Gorbatenko has secured a full time role for Metallurg in the KHL during his draft year. Playing limited minutes on the 4th line, Gorbatenko has a solid 9 points in 27 games thus far. Listed as a playmaker, Gorbatenko has a base that will allow him to potentially play in all situations once he comes over to North America, however he has just signed a contract overseas until 2024 which may drop his draft position.
