The following players have signed NHL contracts and will report to the AHL, as they have either not been able to find a team for this upcoming season or are stuck playing in the same crappy league: Mack Kishnick (ARI) Ryan Ward (BOS) Mitchell Keller (BOS) Jacob Barczewski (DET) Yaqoub Hasan Al-Marashda (MTL) Santeri Virtanen (MTL) Reilly Straith (OTT) Mike Booth (NYI) Their contracts will still slide for one more season unless played in the NHL for more than 9 games.

ANNOUNCEMENT Heading into the 2019-20 season, there are concerns worldwide about some sort of pandemic called COVID-19. The virus has already started to affect people in China, and Islanders prospect/Taiwanese native Shuo-Ming Ting has fled Asia in attempts to hopefully avoid the virus completely. RGMG 6.0 is bracing for a shutdown, and fearing the worst. With revenues expected to decline, it is expected the league will lower the salary cap for the 2020-21 season anywhere from 1.5 to 3M. This would take the new salary cap to 70 to 71.5M. It is also expected that another salary cap decrease will be needed for the 2021-22 season, and will likely be a similar 1.5 to 3M. This could mean our salary cap for the 2022-23 season could be as low at 67M. All teams should prepare for this ahead of the fact, and keep this in mind when offering longer term deals to players in the upcoming free agency. Our signing guidelines will not change, but a lower cap will mean a more competitive free agency pool.

The playoff pool has been created! Username - CDCFL2020Playoffs Password - cdcfl We will be following the NHL format for the playoffs. Top 4 teams in each conference are playing for seeding in the Round of 16, while the winner of each play-in round will advance. Teams will be re-seeded after each round, highest seed remaining will play lowest seed remaining. For those who can't remember what our bracket looks like, here it is below: For the initial round which includes all 24 teams, points will be accumulated for both the play-in rounds and the round robin games in the NHL. As stated before, playoff rosters may consist of a maximum of 23 players (14 forwards or 8 defenceman and 2 goalies). Teams are also permitted to list their black aces. These players will not collect points during the play-in rounds, and will only collect points if swapped into the lineup in between rounds. There is no swapping of players mid-round. It will be very interesting to see the strategy used for black aces, may some players who are on a top team playing in the round robin in the NHL be left off the roster to allow for players who may play up to 5 games? Teams do not need to call up or send down players, no transactions will be reflected on the spreadsheet. There is no salary cap in the playoffs, teams are free to use any of their players to their full disposal (excluding players who are on ELC slide or are not under contract for 2019-20). Teams will be permitted to make changes to their play-in round roster up until the puck drop of the first game on August 1st. If making any changes, please be sure to quote and re-post the new roster in the thread so I can reflect it accordingly on Pickup. I now ask that all 24 teams involved submit their playoff roster. Failure to do so prior to August 1st will result in the immediate termination of that GM. We do have a waiting list to get into this league so I will require a roster post from all GMs. Should a GM not post a roster, I will input a roster on Pickup for that team. If you have already posted a roster in the thread, please post it again so I can input it into Pickup (excluding you @Rush17, I got yours from this page). Best of luck to all in the playoffs, its been a wacky and wild year but I am excited to see who will become the next CDCFL Cup Champion!
