  1. Not to sure what you're saying. My whole argument was statistically based, not eye based. And those #'s are 'fact' cause the NHL provides them as such. I agree Kass has been somewhat sheltered this yr - not uncommon for young players. Richardson has been asked asked to play a more defensive role (reflected in his zone starts), never denied that. What I was saying is Kassian is plays better without Richardson than 'with'. And if he had better linemates he'd have more production.
  2. Nothing funnier than statements like this, when I get to write the reality: Starting a lot of shifts in your own zone does not qualify as 'hard mins'. He pays against the oppoents bottom 6 every night, Edler plays against the top 6. Major difference. Also Richardson zone adjusted advanced stats are still terrible. I like the guy, think he's a great 4C, or 13th forward. But Kassian has better #'s without Richardson, than 'with' Richardson. It's not my opinion, it's the facts.
  3. You think Richardson is their best defensive forward? Sorry man, but he's one of their worst via advanced stats. Kassian carries Richardson - their WOWYs tell the story. Kassian pretty much carries everyone he plays with (short of Sedins). He's a ply driver, Richardson drags him down. I do agree Kass's defensive play has got better. But I've argued his defensive play got better last season under AV (towards the end of the season). I'm a big fan of this kid, would love to see him have better linemates.
  4. Wow, ya I totally agree. I've noticed the same thing and posted as such. Perhaps they needs more ice time together, I hope they get it next yr.
  5. Dimitri Filipovic ‏@DimFilipovic 3m Posted in CDC earlier, but Kassian has spent more time this season playing with Sestito than Kes/Hank/Dank. This kids got poor linemates all yr and has absolutely excelled. Can hardly wait till be gets some legitimate linemates - he's gonna rip up this league.
  6. Man Jensen reads sooooo well off the Sedins. Definitely not an easy feat for a young rookie. They gonna be gold next season.

  8. Exactly. And Trev references when he played for AV and AV wanted them in lanes. But AV changed that strategy a few yrs ago and got them out of lanes - he knew the risks of injury and pucks bouncing of players. AV was able to adapt, Torts never has been.
  9. Oh fu#$, hearing Boston model directly from Lindens lips scares the crap out of me. But LOVE that he wants 4 lines (that's crucial)
  10. Trev is tripping me out with all his blinking
  11. For the 1st time in a long time, 4th line has great underlying #'s. I like Sestito - he does his job - but he's got the worst advanced stats on this team and sinks the 4th line. Hopefully the score keeps up cause a top 6 pick would be SWEEEETTT!!!
  12. Well, I got my wish, Edler-Corrado paired together. Unfortunately for tank nation they are really good together, prefer Bieksa-Edler
  13. This season, Kassian spent more time playing with Sestito than Hank & Kes. That's developing young players folks!

LOL sestito is a good player? Seriously? He's a serviceable 4th liner and that's it folks.

My perspective is that Kass has improved steadily as the year went on and is now playing on the best line on the team. He has improved in almost every category and is only 8 points off from top6 production (.5 pts/gm). Seems like development to me...

Yet people want Tort's to come back...

  14. Ya, it's the source of their low possession metrics. They have some really strong possession forwards - not so much on D.
  15. Ya, but they've been pretty healthy the whole season and have put up league bottom possesion metrics and league high PDO's. They're a whole lotta lucky - we'll all see this next season when the don't make the playoffs.
  16. Colorado gonna get swept in the playoffs. Top puck possession team against leagues 3rd worst puck possession team. Still not sure how they made the playoffs - they're soo lucky Van stunk it up this yr.
  17. Lol. The only way that guys making me happy if he buys me a sweet porsche
  18. Kesler going David Backes on Mackinnon.
  19. Agreed. Afraid Canucks'll become the next Buffalo Sabres - try to get tough and sink like the Titanic. With Aquaman calling all the shots, anythings possible.
  20. Darn it. Tank Nation ain't lookin' good.
  21. Good question. But this fanbase should be seriously concerned right now.
