  1. This beat goes on, and on, switch into glide? A tacky Euphemism, but unfortunately true. I posted the above when posts in this thread pointed to the dangers of having masses of kids congregating in the Okanagan Valley to party. Absolutely shows, if true, how quickly movement from district to district, party to party. Then going back to work? Disregard for rules & common sense. Can suddenly trigger outbreaks. https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/covid-19-infected-teen-lived-it-up-at-cocktail-bar-in-queensland/ar-BB17kUUN?li=AAgfYrC https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/qld-teens-test-positive-to-covid-19-after-shoplifting-heist-in-vic/ar-BB17l8vb?li=AAgfYrC Melbourne saw a large outbreak when the rest of the country was approaching virtual eradication of the virus. And was completely locked down. Its currently illegal to go for a walk outside your postcode. Queensland locked its borders to people from Victoria, the state / province where Melb is capital. And had otherwise re-opened as they had weeks where the state did not have a case. But two girls flew to Sydney. Then to Melbourne. Back to Sydney, then home. Making false declarations about having visited off limits Melbourne. One went to work at a YMCA, the other a school. Went out three nights straight, 5 bars and restaurants, then called in sick on, I believe a Friday with symptoms, Saw a doctor, probably for a work note? Was told get tested! Instead, went out 6 more places to eat, bars and pubs, went to church. Got tested on Monday. Came back positive. Already someone else at the school one worked at. And the Y where the other... Someone from her church have tested positive. The school, the Y, all 11 restaurants / bars, have been closed. Their sister positive, who works in aged care. Close contacts have already been confirmed to have visited other schools, old aged care homes, friends of the elderly at the church. And all the people on the two return flights, the hotels stayed at in Sydney, Melbourne have been contacted. Super spreaders, they have potentially risked ''thousands'' of contacts in just two weeks. Have already returned Coronovirus directly to a state that was Corona free, but is now scrambling. It was reported they were in Melbourne on an organized shoplifting of designer hand bag tour to fund their Lifestyle. https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/covid-19-infected-teen-lived-it-up-at-cocktail-bar-in-queensland/ar-BB17kUUN?li=AAgfYrC And as per this article, may even have been at the party I was posting about just above. Disgusting!

  5. If I were the Rangers I would start Shesterkin. Right from the get go...
  6. Well? Wow! Awesome!! Speechless!!! Might play? Good for Oskar... https://www.nhl.com/news/oskar-lindblom-signs-three-year-deal-with-philadelphia/c-317572204 May as well add him to my play in roster please @Nail
  7. Isolation is like hibernation. I think? In spite of our record we were only two teams behind normal play off races. So would (could) qualify for play in? In case, here is who we would roster; Joakim Nygaard Alex Wennberg Patrick Kane Colton Sceviour Sam Gagner Marcus Foligno Jacob Lilja Henrik Borgstrom Tyler Benson Ryan Kuffner Nicholas Hague Matt Niskanen Martin Fehervary Lucas Carlsson Kyle Copabianco Jesper Sellgren Ben Harpur Ian McCoshen Corey Crawford* Igor Shesterkin * Corey Crawford not currently practicing? May swap him for alternate goalie as we get closer to July 30? Alexandar Georgiev available. Really Black Aces, but may as well roster them, cough, in case they play...
  8. Play in? Play on! Play off... @Nail Thanks for the good luck wishes. You as well! Your forward lines could be better! My defense? It may come down to whether Jarry plays or not! (Or u risk sitting Francouz ) So lets get it on! Matthew Tkachuk Elias Pettersson Brett Connolly Sam Bennett Brayden Schenn Mattias Janmark Joakim Nygaard Derrick Brassard Andrew Ladd Michael Dal Colle Jacob Lilja Darnell Nurse Alex Goligoski Kevin Shattenkirk Brady Skjei Martin Fehervary Steve Santini Dylan Coghlan Tristan Jarry Evan Fitzpatrick
  9. I will do my play off roster tomorrow if thats alright @canuck2xtreme
  10. Here in Melbourne there are fines for that. And they hand them out, look for them, track them... Two ambulance attendants were at KFC. Saw an Uber Eats guy picking up an order which would have cleaned out the colonel's chicken coop? Heard the street name of the delivery over the counter. Called the cops, gave the street name & Uber's license plate. 23 college kids in a rented AirBNB home whooping it up? Each kid got a $1000 dollar fine. They traced the party being organized on Facebook. Organizer got a $10,000 fine & had to go to court. Next time, he's going to jail. All 23 got tested. If one was positive, each would have been quarantined in hotel 2 weeks. At their expense. House arrest!
  11. This happened in Melbourne 3 weeks ago. Everything seemed contained? Then 10 jumped to 30, to 100 in a week. 2 weeks ago 200 & the whole city was shut down again... Then 350 & 400. Although it seems to be easing as we are just entering our 3rd new week of lock down? Hopefully contained again before we become New York! We are just in time, or just too late? Oh, and as of tomorrow mandatory face masks now that supply is adequate!
  12. ^^ We need Lou in net there to protect us! Seeing as we are still paying his recapture penalty?
  13. Lord knows why I was on Reddit today? Saw this. Thought there was hope for this world...
  14. Play in's will destroy some teams...
  15. Sam Girard is my take. With a better shot! Not quite the dominance of Makar. Hounding the puck up ice as no one can stop him with it on his stick. But its worth noting the switch went on in Colorado? The instant Matt Duchesne left... AND when Girard arrived! With great nift for getting the puck up ice! They went from last place to play off team almost overnight!
  16. This is so useful. 80% of draft activity is in the middle of the night here. I already have an alarm set for September 7...
  17. That an opinion. Sautner is 26. If he had the ability to handle the puck at the NHL level he would be here by now. I disagree there. A case could be made for Brisebois. I respect that. If Edler were out & they wanted someone to kill penalties & take D zone shifts against jamie Benn I could see it. But in most circumstances, its only my opinion, they would call on Olli?
  18. Defense is a funny position! In most positions, in most sports? The elite of elite athletes always have an upper hand. Hughes has agility, dexterity, speed AND skill Guys cannot guard or breakaway from him. He also gets to pucks soooo fast. He has more time to make plays. Quinn also has the IT factor! Understands what to do even when he is under pressure. But remove even a fraction of a second. Defense make more of their plays under duress than in almost any sport. Often with their back to the open ice where they have to make a pass? Brett Hedican was a magnificent athlete. He was a so so NHL player most of his career! Gudbrandson had plenty of speed and strength. Tools that had scouts drooling. But could not seem to make the right play under pressure to save his life? People will hate this next comparison! Luc Bourdon was a more exciting athlete than Alex Edler. Who passed Luc in his first training camp & made the Canucks sooner. And he had a great career in spite of not being as gifted. Could not get to a puck battle as fast as any of these mentioned here. Alex was calmer with the puck. AV and any good hockey coach will pick that right away. Green sits Benn in favor of Fantenburg. Despite only one, not Fantenburg, punishing guys in front of the net. Oskar Fantenburg gets the puck out much more reliably. Composure, the knack for making those plays does not register at the draft combine. That is the IT factor. Tanev is in that same conversation. He also lacked the refined athletic prowess at 19. Took a year or two to even gain that ability at college. But had the sense of compete that had him work hard enough to gain the physical prowess & catch up. Juolevi has IT with the puck. But was having trouble, did not have the strength or endurance to handle AHL forwards when he arrived. But if he has found maturity on the training track, in the weight room, in his work rate? Juolevi could be a dangerous player! I still remember him springing Marner & Laine for stertch passes at 17 with checkers breathing down his neck///
