  1. Yeah, a goalie does have higher sheer point potential than a fwd. Last year O'Reilly had his best year, had about the same # of points as Hellebuyck. Who had an off year. I took the longer term view. You can only keep one goalie year over year. I voted for team balance, We did not have a 1C. And I voted on St Louis? Kneels quietly & closes his eyes, touches his forehead, the bottom of his breast bone, the right side of his chest, then left. Remembers his childhood in the Peg, mumbles a few words. Forgive me father, for I have not been to service since the priest put his hand on my &%@$ Jets traded &@%&! Selanne...
  2. My own projection is we will be fighting SJ for 3rd place; Vegas Calgary SJ / Vancouver Edmonton (improves with Tippet & Evan Bouchard Phoenix LA Anaheim And the Midwest will have both wildcard teams + Chicago fighting but ahead of SJ & us.; Dallas Colorado St Louis Nashville Winnipeg / Chicago So I reckon we wil have hockey trade talk.
  3. Hellebucyk available for a top fwd...
  4. Buggers! Mackenzie Blackwood Yoo Hoo, @kj29
  5. You would think we would do pretty well. I think your on to something?
  6. Aren't you at your limit for keepers yet?
  7. Players, many of them, could learn something from Tyler Motte? Pretty sure he lead us in hits. Smallest on the team. Guy has speed, and never stops skating. Like Burrows, or Kesler. Just won't give up on a puck battle either! You can earn NHL jobs. With sheer will! And we should not forget? Al Arbour made Travis Green check, compete! Just to stay in the NHL, earn a job. I suspect he does not feel its unreasonable to ask same...
  8. This hits the nail on the head! A good post Coastal. He deserves a shot to knock Eriksson, or Schaller out of the line up. Which I fully believe he might do. Or not? But he has not earned leverage to demand bigger money for the chance to do it. Needs to accept his QC. Show us and the coach he will win a spot... Maybe battle more, become more useful away from the puck, check harder! If he does not win a top 6 spot. I wonder if it is about a two way contract? Or Euro out clause?
  9. There is a spot for Goldy to win? Deeper into the thread, some pointed out he feels a Top 6 or bust player. But we only have 14 forwards signed. 15 when Boeser is inked. And Roussel is injured. The competition is pretty good this year. Ferland, Miller, Pearson have been added over 6 months. Baer is healthy? Jake has not won a top 6 role. Up to him, and Eriksson, to knock one of those guys out of the Top 9. Or one more to be injured, which is actually likely... And then he has a role!
  10. Unless the Duchesne effect comes alive...
  11. https://www.msn.com/en-au/entertainment/entertainmentmusic/the-kinks-pay-tribute-to-ian-gibbons-after-keyboardists-death-at-67/ar-AAFeN8y?ocid=spartanntp
  12. Maybe with Frolik and Derek Grant? Which is a great 3rd line. The other guys have speed & puck pursuit. He can just be a puck winner, head buster...
  13. I like anyone who's got something you can't guard, cant handle. Even as simple as relentless, infectious work rate. But including size that runs through you in a puck battle. Can make passes no one see's coming. Speeeeed. A howitzer faster than a goalie can react. Slippery & explosive agility!
  14. Neiminin sounds Finnish. So its probably legit! The rumours he wants out are definitely out there... I wonder if the also rumoured top draft pick who's career was jeopardized by Fortnight addiction isn't Pool party, not Juolevi as CDC jumped on? Or all of them. Aho seems to have passed Julevi, Laine & Puljujarvi. None of whom have lived up to full expectation except Sebastian? Even the shine has come off Laine...
  15. I like this post Jan! In the short run, I believe Hughes is just more compelling in doing the same thing. And Juolevi has to make the team out of camp? I also have one of my sets as 4 forwards. Therefore 3 D men for the two units. And I saw veterans Edler & Myers as more likely to contribute, both offering a bigger shot! In the long run, two years from now? He will at some stage pass Edler on PP depth charts as Alex's career winds down. I then see Juolevi a key contributor! Boeser Horvat Petey Juolevi Hughes
  16. I worried about exactly this, when I posted my proposed PP units. My own guess is one of Horvat or Miller will centre the 2knd PP. This just looked soooo good! This could be a great alternative. Baer add's more puck skill, less bang and battle. If I add Baer I'd probably have him set up in Gretzky's office to make passes out front. Baertschi Boeser Horvat Pettersson Hughes It also leaves the 2knd PP with Miller and Ferland, then one of Pearson or Leivo. For a 2knd unit that could bang & crush away as an identity. Jake could find his way on there as well? Ferland Miller Pearson Myers Edler I am way more confident in that 2knd unit with Miller as its pivot? Than Gaudette.
  17. You forgot asking the prospects what they thought of Loui Eriksson's, comments. Travis Green's diet? And whether Jim Benning uses Grecian formula... You know, the hard hitting questions...
