  5. Edmonton has a list in Commish's inbox for the 4th overall selection...

  7. Wicked bass line, funk beat, to this very rock n roll song...
  8. Absolutely, one of my fave CDC personalities. @Oliver Thompson Actually more Bombastic than Teutone... Good to see you back! Hey did you see, we have a new character Scarlett on Ramsay Street?
  9. Doing my diligence by asking if anyone wants in on trading up to pick #4? Edmonton has three inquiries ATM. Asking price is a top 15 pick, and appropriate sweetening agent... Secondarily, we have 4 2knd round picks. We can offer one near the top of the 2knd, one at the back to move into the middle of the 1st round?
  10. Bingo Which is why doctor's on retainer are a good investment...
  11. I'm nervous. From a pure hockey standpoint, and in a 1 year outlook? Hoffman makes a lot of sense. But I don't want to pay a lot, certainly not young assets or picks, for veterans on the trade market. As I have a longer outlook. With Edler re-signing, Hutton and the rights to have Lou retire a Canuck? -
  12. Here in the off season? This probably gives a pretty good indication of Tanev's value. No premium piece, like a high 1st rounder. But a couple of good secondary parts. In Braund case a 2knd and a 3rd. Maybe more at the deadline? One thing NYR taught the league these last two years. They did trade guys like Tanev, even if it created an immediate hole? I was against that before. Right now I am wondering...
  13. In Niskannen & Braun, this reminds me of Gillis fine tuning our D with Hamhuis & Ehrohoff. Different styles, but net, effectively plugging a LONG STANDING vacant right side on Philly's D. I have picked on Philly year after year, for not resolving their RHD deficiencies. Boom, done in two weeks! Well done... Man, this really looks good on Philly! This is a great trade from a hocket standpoint. They paid a lot. If I was critical, I would pick on that. I suppose that is fine? They paid very little, maybe even disposed of a problem in Gudas, to get top pairing guy Niskannen. They also have a stacked prospect base. Had plenty of depth to invest a Cpl draft picks from strength! Now adding a 2knd strong RHD to play 2knd pair in Braun. And have slow brewed but impressive rookie Phillip Myers to launch. Suddenly nicely insulated. With solid guys to play in front of, ultimately pass on the depth chart. They further have a lot of rookies to inject talent, into an already good forward line up, over the next 2 years. Plus AV! Provorov / Sanheim - Niskannen Sanheim / Provorov - Braun Ghost - Myers Hagg - Morin Next moves, Florida July 1? That aside, Philly is the big riser in the East IMO.
  14. They still have Burns & Karlsson. They're both RHD. For the short term future, those guys are going to play 25 minutes a night. SJ does a decent job selling some of their prime age players, but keeping their top ones. The result is they never really bottom out. Have stayed a good team. But also, they have never won it all. In any case, Braun was as logical a guy as you can get to be expendable. When you have Burns & Karlsson!
  15. I think you are proposing a Tanev for Mayfield deal. Is that right? That stabilises our right side at least if we lose Chris. Adds some badly needed size. Mayfield is a monster. A couple years younger. You are usually pretty tuned in to NYI's. What is your take on Mayfield? And would Tanev command this in a trade...
  16. Don't I have till 4:45, some other time, some other place? Oh well! Hugo Alnefelt please. @inane
  17. The Rangers could have Trouba, Adam Fox, plus forwards Vitali Kravtsov & Grigori Denisenko all added to the team. Some teething pains with the rookies aside? That's a heap of high end talent joining all at once. They could be back in the play off race already? I wonder if UFA Kevin Hayes rejoins the team. Or Duchesne... They could do damage in the play off's...
  18. Trouba still has not been to arbitration. Which also means NYR can sign a long term deal. An RFA at this moment, holding his rigts. They are not neceasily getting a guy who will be UFA next year. By price paid, not any huge haul return for Winnipeg? I would speculate they don't have any predetermined deal along with this transaction? But probably have a pretty good idea that the Rag's are in Trouba's wheelhouse.
  19. Great trade for the Rangers. Good trade for Winnipeg. Pionk gives them a very good, still a RHD. Still a guy who moves the puck with speed to suit their forwARDS. Not as good as Trouba. But on $1.75 mill this year. Which lets Winnipeg sort their sh!t.
