When I was 18, workin in a record store (that's what they were then, ssshhhh), in my first week.I made friends with Brian. Our stock guy, who worked at the store because he loved it. He unloaded boxes and gigged as a bass player weekends. He had a long goatee & John Lennon glasses. I mopped the floor on my first day. I asked him to pick an album, any album, a young punk like me would never have heard of, but would appreciate;

Another favorite classic. My mind wanders so sweetly listening to the Junkies though... (they have sooo many great covers on the Trinity Sessions! , a to die for album)

I dealt with Randy a lot. I always found him distant. He used a ''manager'' to negotiate, run errands and arrange the simplest details like buying a mobile phone. But he was genuine. I mentioned he knew I was from Winnipeg. And he took the trouble to get, and give me tickets to the last Jets game. Very nice of him! -
Speaking of what you do when your 13? Oh Chrissy, miss you!

Feels like Im'13 again hearing this song?

I saw it, but thanks regardless! @Squeak Who is #87 with primary assist? Wicked dangle in the corner to break back towards behind the net. Then a nifty soft backhand to Elias for the shot...

Deadly shot for the 5th goal of the game. Elias!

Markus Naslund comes to mind as an example? Petterson is quite light. But between his testing at the combine, and play since? He certainly appears to have the core power, balance, leg strength, agility & endurance of an absolutely elite athlete. NHL or otherwise... I don't disagree some time on a N A ice will / would be beneficial. But I suggest taking the wait and see approach. Green seems capable of determining quickly where guys are at.How fast was Dane Fox in the ECHL. Did he play Boeser. But has measured and carefully managed our two goalies. Also made hard decisions? Like let the Twins know they no longer have the dynamics and speed to be top line players. Then reflect it in their ice time! He is working based on the combination of what is required development wise, and what we need now with what is at his disposal. edit: just suggesting NHL coaching, notably Green, will probably be able to tell if he is ready? And suggest odds are as high he plays, as needs more development time. Lets be open to both?

Cleaned out my cd collection the other day @chon derry. 6 copies of Goodbye Yellow Brook Road over 35 years... Sir Elton played here in Melbourne 1st Sunday in October. Sat Nights Alrite was the best cut in a fabulous show! Speaking of shows? Anyone need an excuse to visit Down Under next Easter? Robert Plant, Jackson Browne, John Butler Trio, Seal, and cough, Lionel Ritchie are headlining this year. Byron Bay Blues Fest!!! Surfing, great weather, saw guys like Russel Crowe, Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon over the last couple of years, many pretty girls in the crowds... https://www.bluesfest.com.au/schedule/?DayID=113

I've met a couple of the boys. Randy was a pretty regular customer of mine at a shop in Richmond for a stretch. Being from Winnipeg, he was asked to do a couple of songs between periods when the Jets came to Vancouver for their last visit before heading the desert. Being from Winnipeg, Randy invited me to the game. Got gifted 2knd row behind the home teams goal seats. I have to admit, I was more mesmerized by Selanne versus Mogilny at ice level, than the show. The speed at ice level was spectacular. Beyond what I had ever seen! I also had his brother Tim as a client in Abbotsford. LOL,he did real estate. And had pictures of himself on stage, in Texas with BTO, with his shirt off on his card. But way back, I got mugged one day at a 7 -11 at St Johns and Main back home. Burton got stabbed there two days later & it made the national news. I did meet him and mention. He said he had all kinds of song he has never sung about the violence in the North End. Anyways, love both BTO & the Guess Who! Maybe this earlier copy will embed? -
We had Howling Wolf here the other day. More Howlin...

Good way for an Aussie Indie band to start there career > Cover Crowded House... Here is one of their own; They played the 2014 Blues N Roots in Freemantle. Right after watching B & B caught one of the UK's best Indie acts; Any fans out there? I can listen to his first two albums cover to cover, rinse & repeat for days & get more excited as each hour kicks over. Soooo good!
