Totally, and (as you mentioned) it's not covid-specific. Urging someone to exercise just because of covid is a bit funny though. Obesity is the leading cause of preventable death in the US. More than smoking, car crashes, drug use, etc. If people were dying from not exercising before, I'm not sure adding one more disease to the list of thousands that are made worse by obesity will change anything?

MacKinnon didn't take a discount. When he signed his deal his career high in points was 63 (in his rookie season) and he followed that up with a 38 and a 52 point season. He looked like a 50-60 point second line centre who might have some unrealized potential. 6.3 million AAV was fair market value for him. He didn't break out until his 5th year (2nd year on his current deal).

Yeah man, it's tough. Drs rely on a patient's perceived pain to get enough understanding of what's going on to order the correct tests. It can take a while to break through to team-first guys that they need to be honest about it. You usually get 'yeah it hurts a bit, but not that bad' because they think that admitting it hurts means they aren't tough or they'll let their team down.

3-1 Canucks. Horvat -
Doesn't have to be every single infraction. If we want a defenceman to be able to hold up a forward at the blueline for 0.25 seconds without a call, that's a-okay. If we want defencemen to be able to give opposing forwards a push when they're in the crease, that's okay too. What needs to happen is that call gets made the same every time, no matter the score, no matter how lopsided the penalties are in the game. If team A is up 2-0, they should not have a shorter leash in the name of 'game management'. If team A has had the last three power plays, a ref should not be looking to call a penalty against them to 'even it up'.

I'd love to see him over here again to see what he can do. Even if he's just a 16-18 minute per night #5 D who can PK, I'd be happy. I wouldn't hold my breath on his return though. 50/50 odds (my baseless speculation, I'm not claiming to be an authority) he never steps foot in North America again imo.

So there are two different lists of requirements. 1) Who is eligable to be selected (and the team must use a protection slot on if they wish to keep them). And 2) Minimum exposure requirements. Each team must leave a minimum number of "veterans" exposed. Each team must leave 2 forwards and 1 D who meet these games played requirements exposed Joulevi meets the 1) criteria and must be protected if we don't want Seattle to be able to take him. But he needs more games played to meet the 2) requirements for an exposed veteran D man.
