  1. Gaudette has played one season at a higher competition level than Horvat. Their D+1 where Horvat was in the OHL and Gaudette was NCAA. It's misleading because because you're showing 2 NCAA years and an AHL year vs 3 junior years. For Bo's D+2 amd 3 his was in the NHL, compared to Gaudette in the NCAA.
  2. Bit misleading to start Gaud's stat's with his D+2 but Bo's with his D-1
  3. Man, I really feel for Sven. I hope he can recover 100% and be back with the team next year, but please don't push it if you're not ready! I'm glad he has a few more years under contract. At the very least he'll have access to specalists on the team's dime and enough money to look after his family if he has to retire.
  4. I thought Schneider was even worse. It was a night and day difference with Miller.
  5. I think this contract/character discussion is missing a lot of the picture. The player doesn't usually have a lot to do with the negotiations, it's the agent. The agent and player will probably have a talk about the ball park term and $ the player is looking for, and some comparable players' contracts. Then it's all in the agent's hands, the agent isn't going to bring every single offer to the player. The agent is the one negotiating all summer.
  6. Bo got eaten alive by Monahan and Co. in the first week of the season, then again, it took him about 10 days to get his timing right. I'm not sure what that match-up would look like now.
  7. I stand corrected. I hadn't looked at pricing in some time, the F35 seems like a bargin now, especially with unit cost projected to be US $80 million in the 2020s. At the time of our ogininal purchase comitment, the F35 was more like US $140 million, to the Eurofighter's €90 million.
  8. A tin of chewing tobacco went up $5 in price on April 1st this year.
  9. Man, this is an incredible D+1 for a 3rd rounder.
  10. Madden plays wing well too, if we want to use him higher up the depth chart. 4C is a fillable spot in free agency ala Malhotra and Beagle
  11. It is his third CHL season. A drafted midget player can play a couple of games as an underager. He was 17 at the draft, one of the younger players eligible.
  12. I don't think I've ever actually heard a single person complain about someone saying "merry Christmas." I do here a LOT of complaining about complaining about saying "merry Christmas." At this point I suspect that it almost doesn't happen, but is being propagated by the complaining about complaining folks.
  13. Joulevi, Demko, Dahlen, and Lind ARE on professional contracts. The "pro" eligibility slides if the player is 19 or younger on Dec 31 of that year (Why Nylander's year in the AHL didn't count last time). All of these players are 20 or older now, so this year in the AHL counts as a "pro" year. If Lind didn't turn 20 until January, this season would not count.
  14. He'll be eligable again next year. If he keeps improving he'll have a good shot then.
  15. He hasn't been on the ice a lot, so there hasn't been as much to talk about. I think he fits in well on Pettersson's RW, that's a dangerous line and having a true All-Star winger for Pettersson makes him even better too.
  16. Man that sucks. I'm glad Sven is under contract for a few more years. At least he'll be well looked after if this is a career ender.
  17. He's been incredible. If he keeps it up, he could find himself with Barkov in the conversation for the next generation of Toews/Kopitar/Bergeron centres around the league.
  18. I'm not sure how we'd land a top 4 RD in FA. You have Myers and Karlsson to chose from, not a lot of supply, it's going to be a tough market.
  19. If someone else is waiting for the elevator in my building, I'll take the stairs so I'm not forced to attempt small talk.
  20. If Goldy and Eriksson could finish on the beautiful dishes Petey is giving them; he'd have a clean sweep of all the rookie stats.
  21. Occasionally, but not frequently. I eat a lot of veggies, give them a rinse off and it's not a big deal. I'm also confused about what organic even means. No pesticides? What about organic pesticides? You know what is organic? Oil. If I make pesticides from hydrocarbons can they be certified organic? It's called organic chemistry for a reason.
  22. Glenmorangie is a good one, probably the most popular of the Highland Single Malts. Stick to Highland, as Islay single malts are much bolder and smokier. Now, there is a lot of variation within the Highlands, it's a big region. The South highlands tend to produce less bold, but no less delicious spirits. Try the Alberfeldy 12 to start.
  23. Many things are better. What is your preference? Smokey, floral, smooth, etc?
