That's actually a real job. (though you don't confront them, just get evidence) Get a PI licence. Rich people definitely pay good money to get evidence of affairs. especially for divorce proceedings .

I'm pretty sure Woo is not eligable for the AHL in the 2019-2020 season. He wont be 20 before December 31st 2019. Woo was one of the younger players in the draft (he is still 17), he absolutely should be going back to junior this year, and likely next year too. On the plus side he is eligable for the next two WJC tournys.

Overrated. Friends always want to... do stuff. I want to go to work, go to the gym, then cook for myself and spend the evening alone. Friends are always asking to hang out, go to the pub, etc.

You don't have to go to business school to start a business. Know your product/service inside and out Know your market: who, where, when, and how much Grind like crazy! It might take 70+ hour weeks in the beginning. Put in the work to be successful, but don't work yourself to death. Keep good records, keep every receipt, and go to a CPA at tax time. Don't try to do business taxes yourself as an entrepreneur without formal education.

I think there are some rules about team staff being "hands off" with the players during the off-season. It's in the CBA somewhere. 15.10 Conditioning Camp. (a) In each off-season, a Club may hold one conditioning camp (a "Conditioning Camp") for the Players set forth in Section 15.10(b) below, provided that such Conditioning Camp be limited to the months of June and July only and may not last longer than seven (7) days, and provided further that such Club shall advise the NHL and NHLPA of the time, duration, and location of its Conditioning Camp at least two (2) weeks in advance, in accordance with Exhibit 3. (b) Participation in Conditioning Camps will be limited to the following: (i) Unsigned Draft Choices; (ii) Any Player in the Entry Level System with less than 120 NHL Games played (but who did not play in excess of 70 NHL Games in the preceding Regular Season); (iii) Draft-related Unrestricted Free Agents; (iv) Players who were eligible for selection in the preceding Entry Draft but were undrafted; and (v) Any Player who is not in the Entry Level System, who finished the preceding season disabled, and who submits a written request to the Club, with a copy to the NHL and the NHLPA, to participate in his Club's Conditioning Camp. (c) Ice-time during Conditioning Camp will be limited to no more than three (3) hours per day, per Player. (d) No Player shall be required to participate in more than three (3) Conditioning Camps in total for any one (1) Club (but may opt to do so in his sole discretion). (e) A Conditioning Camp may be held in a location of the Club's choice, as long as the arena facility and hotel/lodging accommodations are of suitable standard for professional hockey players. Clubs shall pay all reasonable expenses for the Players participating in a Conditioning Camp, including, without limitation, travel and lodging. Players participating in Conditioning Camp are also entitled to the same per diem meal allowances as provided in 96 ARTICLE 15 15.11-15.13 Section 19(a) of this Agreement (subject to the appropriate offsets in the event the Club provides breakfast and/or lunch, as per Section 15.2(b)). 15.11 No Conditioning Camp. Other than the Conditioning Camp described in Section 15.10 above, a Club is prohibited from organizing or holding any mandatory or voluntary camp in the off-season for any Players.

2018-19 Utica Comets Thread
MattJVD replied to stonecoldstevebernier's topic in Prospects / Farm Team
Think there is any chance Gagner would clear waivers if we don't have a roster spot for him in Vancouver? He could be a great 1C in Utica. -
It is certainly expected he will be on the opening night roster. It would be quite the surprise if he didn't make it.
-
He's (as others have mentioned) probably looking at that Hutton contract and thinking he had a way better year than Ben, so he should be worth more than 2.8.
-
Yeah, I was pretty high on him after that camp too. He was skating hard and making great plays; even beat Lundqvist clean over the shoulder. It's encouraging to hear that Madden is showing some offensive skills in camp, I thought he was more of a defensive forward?
-
I was worried you meant taking off his own goaltender's head with a slash!

I'd think so, but I'd have to have a closer look at a few other teams pools. There aren't many teams that have a blue chip top line centre prospect, #1 D prospect, and #1 Goaltender prospect.

Kesler was drafted in 03, he was cut and sent to the Moose after training camp that season, but got called up a couple times and played 28 NHL games in 03/04. He played all of the 04/05 season in the AHL due to the lockout. So he did indeed play NHL games immediately after being drafted, I had forgotten about that. I always think of his rookie season as the season after the lockout.
-
Yeah, both drafted 2014, first NHL season was 2015/2016

Linden?

That one used to confuse the heck out of me. Please! One award per last name!

So all of our draftees will make it to the AHL finals? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calder_Cup

6'4" and 150lbs?!? How did you get to your classes without crumpling under the weight of your back pack?
-
I know I have my biases, but there is no way I'd put Svechnikov ahead of Pettersson. No disrespect to Scechnikov, he put up great numbers in the O and will likely be an excellent player. But Elias broke records and won scoring titles and a championships in a high tier mens pro league, not major junior.
-
I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd say size is part of it. Dahlin at 6'2" has a better frame for defending at the NHL level. SHL vs NCAA would be a factor too, I think. Dahlin played against professionals all year, we got a quick look at Hughes playing against pros at the mens worlds, but Dahlin did it all year.

EDIT: Nevermind, this was answered like 10 times already haha. I was catching up on the a few pages worth of posts.

We wouldn't be able to cover flights, hotels, or reimburse restaurant meals, etc. However, a vet on the team who has a spare bedroom could put him up, and we are able to have our own cooks prepare team meals and he can eat those for free. Trouble is, his school year will have already started by the time our September training camp and preseason rolls around.

No doubt it is a serious curse in French. But the origin of the word is from "tabarnacle" which (I was a little off in my first description) means the vessel in which the blessed sacrament is held. ie the wine and bread that literally represents the blood and flesh of Jesus Christ. In the old Hewbrew, tabarnacle was the Earthly residence of god. Which is loosely what it still means, as it houses the flesh of Christ. My introduction to it was working with French-Canadian soldiers, who use it as an interjection in the same manner their anglo counterparts would say f**k

That's here in non-English North America too, Tabarnaque is a serious insult/curse in Quebecois French. It means a booth where the especially devoted sit inside a Catholic Church, or something to that affect.
-
Wouldn't they have to prove damages? He already has a contract, he hasn't been cut from any teams. Maybe if he gets sent to Utica at Camp in the fall they could try that.

Getting the Pro treatmemt Considering he just cleaned up in a pretty good pro league, I'd say it's fair.
