  1. Top number NHL salary, middle number potential bonuses, bottom number AHL salary?
  2. Those lines are accidently mis-labeled. Should be the opposite order: 1st is 4th, 2nd is 3rd, 3rd is 2nd, 4th is 1st.
  3. “We cannot wait to get on a high-speed rail line to come up and have the greatest hockey rivalry in North America, which is the Seattle Totems versus the Vancouver Canucks.” -Washinton State governor Jay Inslee He may have accidently confirmed the name, or simply used the one he likes best. Source: http://thecomeback.com/nhl/washington-governor-may-slipped-revealed-seattles-nhl-team-name.html
  4. Seattle. Likely June 2020. If Guadette doesn't start until next season, he will be exempt.
  5. Wow, that's some pretty high praise!
  6. Oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply next season for Gadj. Likely a year of two in Utica first.
  7. Hodgson wad an elite junior player and had a pretty good rookie year in the NHL. He had a back injury that hurt his development and a bizarre metobolic condition that made him physicaly ill during exercise. That's what ended his career
  8. I'd like to see him with Pettersson, if he can keep up with the speed. He knows how to make space for high-skill guys (Suzuki) and it would be good to have some size out there with Elias. Bo is enough of a bull for his line imo
  9. Daniel is up to 85 Game winners, tied for 26th all time with Hossa. One back of Burnaby Joe
  10. Signed an ELC! https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/vancouver-canucks-kole-lind/c-296500314
  11. 30 points in 50 GP in the USHL in his draft year. He was also older than many in the draft (October 1996 birthday). He has improved, dramaticly, every year since he was drafted.
  12. Teams can only recall players from Junior in emergencies. (Ex: they have so many injured players, recalling from the AHL would mean the Comets can't ice a full team).
  13. I believe we have 2 years to sign CHL players, otherwise they re-enter the draft. I would expect they are just waiting for the season to end, I'm sure we'll see him signed sometime soon.
  14. Should get credit for another GWG tonight, up to 84. He's tied with the Rocket Richard and Stan Mikita for 28th place in league history.
  15. ^^Basicly this. Dahlen decided to stay with Timra out of loyalty to his team-mates and fans. (I like what this says about the kid). Timra is a top team in Allvenskan and has a chance for a good playoff run and a chance to get promoted to the SHL.
  16. Pretty impressive growth! Can't ask for anything more out of our late-round picks.
  17. Hahaha, am I wrong in thinking Rick is a first name and Blight is a last name?
  18. Thanks for the details, Mr Blight! So, if I understand that correctly: If a drafted CHLer is not signed in two years they either A: reenter the draft if age < 20 or B: become a UFA if age > or = 20. If a player still does not sign within two years of the second draft they become a UFA. So UFA eligability after the 2nd draft would happen at the same age as a player leaving college (if they stay the full 4 years). So it's not really a unique loophole to NCAA players, anyone can do it.
  19. Yeah, it's more than one year for sure. Not exactly sure on the timeline either. But the NCAA guys are going 4 years between the draft and free agency, waiting until they're 22.
  20. It's not really just a college loophole though, is it? Any prospect can opt not to sign an ELC with the team who drafts him. They would re-enter the draft in non-NCAA cases, but they can opt to not sign with the next team that drafts them too. What's the difference between the NCAA and a CHLer not signing, then going to Europe until the expiration of exculsive rights?
  21. Read a few posts up, Sid covered it in detail.
  22. Thanks for the correction Sid, my mistake.
  23. I think you're right, contracts don't slide in the AHL. The only way this would matter is if he doesn't make Utica next year and is back in the WHL.
