  1. I wouldn't mind him getting 9 games to start next season before going back to junior, but I agree junior is likely the best place for him.
  2. Haha, there was plenty of complaining. "We don't have a 4th line, Kelser's wingers suck (not on 09/10), our D is never going to be healthy, etc"
  3. Perhaps I'm being to nit-picky, but I thought he said he wouldn't ask anyone to waive their NTC. So players with limited NTCs would still be on the table to their short list of teams (Hansen, Miller)
  4. Good to hear he's infront on the net, and even though he doesn't get a point, he's involved in the scoring.
  5. Sportsnet was pretty high on him pre-draft too; " Scout’s take: "Horvat was the player that grew on me the most as the season progressed," said Ross MacLean, head scout for International Scouting Services. "He always looked like a very projectable two-way player, but really matured and cultivated his all-around game even further this year and now he looks like a future NHL captain. He has great passion and compete in his game and plays a consistent brand of hockey that isn't easy for opponents to keep up with. "He’s a warrior and can do a bit of everything. He has tremendous hand-eye coordination and an unbelievably hard shot with a quick release. He is not a player you can give any room to in the offensive zone as he will burn you if you do. Horvat will need to continue to develop slightly, but if he remains at this development pace, it’s possible that we could still not fully realize his potential. He could be a real steal, regardless of where he goes in the first round." "Bo Horvat is another great two-way player who can score some clutch goals," adds David Burstyn, director of scouting for McKeen’s Hockey. "He was one of coach Dale Hunter’s favourites. Bo’s skating improved throughout the course of the year, especially diagonally and laterally. He still needs to work on some of his straight-ahead speed, but this is a player that just doesn’t give up. He’s always going to the front of the net to score greasy goals, he always back checks, blocks shots, takes valuable faceoffs. This is a guy that arguably played two minutes of the penalty kills and was also out on the power play, so he plays both special teams. He scored 33 goals, which is pretty impressive."
  6. Glad to see Baer hitting the score sheet, career high points in a single game tonight (3)
  7. I'm so glad Loui is starting to find the net. 2 in the last 3 games has to do wonders for his confidence .
  8. I always thought he had the shot and skating to make it as a scorer, really hasn't come together though.
  9. I've come here to admit Granlund has changed my mind. I was 100% in the "omg JB, what are you doing?!" crowd when we made the trade, and I didn't warm up to it as the season went on. I thought we had basicly done the Vey trade all over again. 16 games into this season, I've got to say I'm impressed by his play. Maybe I was being hard on his last year and it skewed my perception, but he looks miles better in all 3 zones. He's a solid middle 6 forward and still has room to grow, keep it up Markus.
  10. I didn't realize that, thanks Ihatetomatoes
  11. Ouch, rough start. I'm sure his numbers will pick up once he is settled in. I'm looking forward to following his season.
  12. Haha, did Loui specify which net?
  13. Hodgson had 16 points in 6 games in 2009. And Schroeder holds the American record for most career WJC points.
  14. Willie sounded really impressed by Zhuk in his interview yeasterday. Very encouraging.
  15. I remember being rather confused seeing David Krejci "drafted in the 2nd round, 63rd overall". So it happened in 2004 at least.
  16. Can Horvat be sent to Utica to help with their playoff run? I seem to remember the age rules being different if the player has already played pro.
  17. Pay close attention to cooling if you are overclocking though. You might need an after market CPU cooler.
  18. I'd recommend it. Don't get too attached to your first few cities though; It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of the early game layout.
  19. Np, have fun with the build (or hunt)!
  20. Has anyone else tried City Skylines? It's a great city building game, I have sunk far to many hours into it already. I'm finding it really difficult to keep traffic moving when the population gets over 25 000, anyone have more success?
  21.     I just did my first self-build in January (0 prior experiance). It's actualy not very hard, lots of tutorials on Youtube. I found it imtimidating at first, because I was so afraid of breaking things. I picked up all my parts from NCIX.com. It's a Vancouver company with a huge selection and good prices. Biggest tip I could give you is cache size and frequency (GHz) are more important than the number of cores in the CPU for a gaming PC.
  22. Came here to post this, you beat me to it.
