Twins holding out until the summer on decision to retire.

If I were JB I would formulate my plans for next season considering them retired. If they decide to come back, they'll have to fit under the cap. If they don't like the money, so be it.
Time to move on.

I believe they will wait and see who the next gm will be. Maybe they will wait and see how the team will look for next season or if a new gm wants them to return before deciding. Whoever the gm will be should just focus on the TDL, draft, continue and build to make this team better regardless of what the Sedin decisions will be.

@luckylager It's not about loving or hating the Sedins, it's about keeping some points in the lineup. I'm not calling them PP specialists, just saying they bring more than people realize. They won't get any faster next year though, that's for sure.
Everyone referencing JB's extension makes a good point too, and none of us can guarantee Gaudette and Pettersson make the team. The chances look very good, but who knows until we get to main camp.
I imagine the unlikely scenario of Tavares and Kane signing here coupled with 2 rookie forwards making the team which pushes the Twins aside. I don't see that happening, but imagine if it did... There are a lot of moving parts approaching the summer, and it kind of pisses me off that things are this disorganized for what could be their last season as I like Linden style sendoffs for our top players.
