Sounds like you need some quality time with mother nature.
I was dealing with some $&!# in my teens and early 20's. I starting finding the more time I spent away from people, in nature, the more clarity and comfort I found in my "real" life.
Introspective journeys, soul searching, solo mushroom trips in the middle of nowhere, alone, helped me find my center. To be more grounded, less needy, less greedy, more grateful and more pleased.
Figuring out what I actually wanted and needed out of life was huge for me. I still need my bush retreats though. Everything is so &^@#ing beautiful and simple when all you gotta do is make sure you eat and stay warm.
That said, go buy your mom some flowers.
