  1. Reposting because this tune kicks ass. Civilization's dyin'
  2. Social media is a very weird environment. I find the extreme contempt and utter ignorance soul crushing.

Have we been reduced to idiots unable to form a proper sentence (and proud) vs intelligent people being ridiculed because they're just not dumb enough?

I opened my Facebook for the first time in months just in case an actual friend has had something happen in their life since the last time I checked... Big mistake. It just made me miserable.

I'm completely dismayed by the lack of thought, shallow and biased articles, empty space existing in places that people used to reside. What happened? Why is everyone that comments on articles a complete &^@#ing idiot? Who gave these morons a voice?

It's the things like "there" views, the clothing "thay" "whare". "Were are thay"(without a mother&^@#ing question mark). Dumb is not cool you &^@#ing tools. FFS

Twitter isn't any better. People are &^@#ing morons and the intrawebs are killing our ability to even have discussions on relevant topics because the dumb and proud are actually so stupid they think they're winning. But they're &^@#ing everything up.

There's no constructive dialogue in that mess, I'm really glad we have some here on CDC.

    End rant

Wow, in one rant we've gone from Plutarch to cosmic meta-theroy. Well done CDC, well done.

What did Jimmy just say about the Sumarians and Annunaki?

Throwback to the S'all Goodman days, and the OG profile pic.

  3. Lol, snob! It's unknown road, come on man! Back when the bread was shiny and new. Still warm and doughy. No need to make toast with that stuff. Their first four albums were awesome. But they have been rewriting the same dozen tracks since 2001. I'll give you that.
  4. Hypercompetetive little league coaches that make a scene and set a really, really bad example for the kids.. These kids are 8-9yrs old, champ. There are no scouts in attendance. Your kid will not be turning Pro, or getting a scholarship this year, same goes for every kid out there. They're playing to have fun. You're definitely not having fun. Sort your life out. You're a huge loser.
  5. We're lacking some pennywise in this here thread
  6. Don't second guess yourself Go with your gut on these road rage problems. The guy probably has a bunch of dogs trapped in kennels, that he never feeds, bumping their heads on those cages as he raddles his way from Alberni to Ukie. I'd flip him the bird too
  7. Making fun, mostly. Geologists do well if they don't work for the gov. Chemists do well if they'll question their morals. Biologists can never make it rich, because nobody actually cares about "life".
  8. I know KOS seems to be the only one who can't have rational discussions / disagreements without throwing poop around. It's almost too easy.
  9. Lol They peaked under Harcourt. Man, they used to rage about Vandersalm though. I'm still scarred
  10. Seeing as I haven't posted any pics of the Island, and your punctuation totally sucks... You don't actually know any teachers, do you?
  11. Are you implying some teachers are too dumb to get a proper education in the field they wish to have a career in? Hmmm Lots of chemists, biologist, geologists...you know, scientists... hardly make 65k with an MA. If you're getting into teaching for money, or three months off a year, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. For the record, my Mom and my step-dad were both teachers. We lived very comfortably and I was never starved for their attention because they had too much homework...
  12. I see three dead gangsters in that photo...
  13. It's almost funny that us Island folk feel the same about Vancouver / Lower Mainland. See, we actually rejoice in "giving up on (the Surrey) life". Finding the beauty and peace in the most simple and quiet things is what I get to enjoy, and we still get to tease all the losers from Vancouver who show up in Birkenstocks and a tie died shirt, hoping to fit in. And Fyi, I'm friends with a few teachers. Real friends. None of them feel like they're underpaid. Their grievences have always been about class size and composition, not pay. Any career you start as a twentysomething is gonna have you making pretty crap money, that's life, pay your dues. $85k a year is not underpaid. That's the salary for an educator with an MA and 10yrs seniority.
  14. Our teachers aren't underpaid at all. Maybe In the lower mainland they are, comparitive to the cost of living. I live a few houses down from my kids' school. Teachers are driving Audi's, BMW's, new SUV's and there's even a Porsche in the teachers parking lot
  15. It was the &^@#ing libs that screwed over our Unions. 16 years of budget slashing.. The NDP are just starting to reel em back in. This years budget saw funding increases across the board for social programs, education and health care. The NDP stepped in and immediately enforced the rulings of the Supreme Court in relation to the libs scamming our teachers out of court ordered actions.
  16. Well you had to give them a valid reason to stay in Alberta. Not sure if any salary could rip me from the Island though. I value quality over quantity
  17. I see You forgot vampires, pedophiles and the hells angels
  18. The NDP is heavily supported by Labour Unions, Educators and Health Professionals. A good mix of hard working, blue collars and academics... Shall we generalize about the Tory voter base?
  19. Your bank might be detucting your property tax monthly and holding it in a separate account, I know my bank is doing this on my mortgage. Also your mortgage insurance payment. Those two "services" would be about $400 mo. You will probably want to get mortgage insurance once you have kids. The wife and I couldn't think of a reason to get it prior to being parents
  20. Saw Hanson Bro's at the boot a few times, not nomeansno though.. Don't know why, but I feel like nomeansno was on hiatus back when I was in Whistler
  21. Never saw em there, only in Vic a few times, and at the Cobalt. I'm only 40 now, just a grom in this days. Think I've seen them as the Hanson Bro's more than No means no.
  22. A buddy of mine is managing a microbrewery / pub, owned by "whatshisname" from nomeansno in PR. He used to manage "Logans Pub" back in the day, bailed to Ucluelet to surf bum a few years back and is pretty stoked for this Powell River party. Should be interesting to see how it pans out. &^@# all going on isn't bad imo
  23. Ok I've eaten dinner at a baseball concession stand for the last three nights. Also had lunch there yesterday... Yeah No
  24. Absolutely I had forgotten about the sunshine coast when I was chirping KOS. The wife and I were thinking about moving to Sechelt back in '03 after leaving Whistler, but we chose the Island. Well, it wasn't quite "We", but I wasn't leaving again.
