  1. Cant help but think of how underwhelming Granny looked in his first 16 games last year, I think we will see a similar elevation from Goldy next year
  2. Not surprised to see the haters silent after a very solid performance this round including first star and game winner in game 7..
  3. Watching Sportsnet is god awful.... more likes Leafsnet

They earned the nickname Toronto Sports Network for a reason.

Every national sports media outlet panders to Toronto. I hate it, but it's how they generate ratings and profit.

  4. Nice to see his producing in the Playoffs
  5. A sub par coach on one team can be fantastic on another see Torts, a lot of coaching is subjective from team to team. Certain players excel in certain systems
  6. 2012 draft was just god awful

@Alflives you are never required waivers when going from AHL to NHL (anymore). When players Start requiring waivers is very dependant on when they signed their ELC, and the time that passes/games played in the NHL. Their is a chart this...https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NHL_salary_cap#Exemptions (about 1/2 way down)

For example: McDavid will require waivers at 160 games played (during ELC) but Gaunce will require waivers next season because it will be 5 years after he signed his ELC.

Watch McCann be a waiver pickup in 3 years.

i like that jb is prepared to move on any player

whether he drafted the player or not

when he sees how that player's development is progressing and begins to have concerns

granlund was obtained for shink when it was becoming clear shink had more limits than upside

mccann maybe prove to have similar limits and was moved for gud (who we still have not really had enough games to assess him. but at least he brings size, some leadership, and was well liked by his former teammates)

  8. Footy fans, Dybala Juve or Griezmann Atletico kit?

  9. easy bro... the Canucks have had 1, maybe 2 50 pt in the last 20 years lmao.
  10. Man if he puts his tools together we got a game changer, not gonna put up a lot of points but he'll make an impact when he's on the ice
  11. MLS has taken a tremendous step with their DP signings this year, 10-15yrs and MLS will be a top 7 league in the world. I know people will say there is no Europe to play in. or History but the US is a desirable location for any person in the world.

  12. A lot of when Juolevi does is not seen on the scoresheet, he is so lethal at the first pass out of the zone, the third or fourth assist that puts the play in motion, a catalyst from the backend.
  13. It's kinda sad to see a lot people on here get so caught up in hoping our prospects don't do well just so they can have a superior feeling of 'right'. Vocal about negativity, silent when it comes to positivity, They don't like 8/10 things our team does so why the hell are they still here then, whats the point of supporting a team when you don't support/like any of the moves or decisions they make. There's 31 other NHL teams to cheer for since some of you people clearly don't like a single thing about ours. Win or lose I cheer for the Canucks because I love my team, and sometimes being a fan isn't about being right or wrong, its about supporting your team through thick and thin, and not bringing every single one of our damn prospects who haven't even played a fkn NHL game down. Like damn, hockey is an escape from reality for me I don't want an escape to be clouded in negativity 24/7 if I wanted that I'd stay in the real world.
  14. Any fans opinion is subjective and is not evidence for how a player is doing, if people seriously use HFboard comments as an indication of how a player is doing, then that is a seriously flawed system of judging a player. And no not just Canuck prospects, but the entire Canucks organization its not secret that they love to hate on us
  15. bish we ball like Mike, trap jumpin like Jordan

  16. Lol @ anyone using HFBoard comments as evidence, that place has to be the most toxic hockey forum in existence. I bet two thirds of Knight fans are also Leaf fans, so yeah they're not going to want to say anything good about our prospects...
  17. Thx Calgary for the two twenty goal scorers

I'll support Juolevi and hope he does well but with Stetcher, Hutton, Tanev, Gudbranson, Tryamkin already in the fold, having a gritty tough power forward would have been a much better pick

    3. Green Building

      Green Building

Uh huh, well we didn't know what we had in Stecher and Tryamkin at the time of the pick so they can't be part of hindsight judgement.

    4. logic

      logic

Tkachuck wouldn't be second on our team in points so that's a moot point. We all know top 4 day hold way more value than top 6 wingers

  18. The best part about the shiny new toys, Goldy, Dahlen, + our pick this year is it should free some of the attention from Virt allowing him to just focus on developing his game. He is never gonna be a 60-70 point scorer, but a 15-20 goal 40 point physical middle six player is a guy any cup team would want.
  19. I watched two people overdose from fetanyl last night... one died, one made it. They were both friends of mine.  Scariest thing I have ever seen, and I hope that nobody is ever effected by this garbage the way I was,

Doctors can be just as bad as organized criminals in this matter. I know of a doctor in North Vancouver who actually hand out prescriptions for this garbage. I have no idea how he gets away with it but he ruined a good friend of mines life. Haven't seen the guy in three years now.

Remember folks, don't ask your doctor.

Tragic.  Sorry to hear of your loss.  How does one get this drug?  Did your friends know they were using it, or was it put in something they were using, like someone spiking their drink?

  20. Man Bisping is such a clown. cant wait to watch GSP dominate him for 5 rounds

  21. Never been as hyped about a young Canuck as I am about Horvat, I have only been watching hockey since 2006, but watching Horvats growth has really made me optimistic

props to WD for the way he has brought horvat along. letting him develop at his own pace and making him learn the defensive side of the game first.

  22. I feel like Nolan Patrick is way under hyped this draft year the guy has very, very good numbers consistently at every level.

Is it because the TML's aren't in the running for him? hmmmmmmmmm!

    2. Tre Mac

      Tre Mac

I think same thing happens as last year.  We finish third last and drop two spots.  Every time I do the draft lottery sim the 3rd last team always gets hosed.  But I'd be Happy with Nolan Patrick, he's no Patrik Stefan
