      Being a musician he very much inspired my voice when I was becoming a teen. I didn't like their sound as much after 2004 but there is no denying Chester Bennington is one of the best rock vocalists ever. I am pretty crushed today although I had some internal anger at him for the way he lashed at his "nu metal" fans wanting older style LP to come back. I guess we are all battling our own demons no matter how we look on the outside. RIP I will always remember his influence and talent.

      He won't sign with us easily, he is afraid Pettersson will take the #1 spot from us so he wants a 8 year contract at 9 mil. Jk... but I could see it being possible.

    bode wilde rd, early rating at 5th overall in next year's draft. 2nd ranked d-man.  has the size, physicality and shot. all very intimidating.

    quinn hughes d-man ranked 6th overall.

    Pratt Suggesting the other day, we trade the 33 overal pick, the fifth pick ollie for the first overall. I may not like Ollie but that is over payment by a long shot.

    Anyone else think we should have re-signed Hamhuis considering our history with D injuries through the course of a season, and that he probably would have taken a bit of a discount (signed a pretty great contract with Dallas)?

      I would have signed him for 3.5 mil. but the role he would have played would have made him not worth 3.5 mil. Edler, Hutton, Hamhuis. You don't want to put Hutton on a bottom pairing when he can be a top 4 next year easily. So that leaves Hamhuis with a big contract on the 3rd pairing. While he would have been good for depth, maybe he will come back in 2 years for cheaper.

      I'd guess they were equal value, with Larsson producing more points and Gudbranson being a better hitter and fighter for our team.

    Looks like no buyout for Burrows. Friedman only has Raymond and Nystrom on waivers.

      I would have preferred a buyout of Burrows over Higgins. Higgins was cheaper and would have been a decent 4th liner/scratch. Burrows is a pest and makes a lot more for his lack of luck. I know the rest of CDC might not agree but I don't care.
