  1. I like this guitarist a lot and have watched him do a ton of cool covers. The singer needs to draw back on his vibrato emphasis on songs that aren't like that at all though. He has great singing / ability, but he forces the vibrato too many times on lyrics that don't call for it. "Take me on" isn't Iron Maiden. Still a cool cover though +1.
  2. Bloody hell, there's like 25cm of snow here and counting. Weekend plans ruined I guess :/
  3. I laughed for a long time when I first saw this. Man oh man, what a cringeworthy vid.
  4. Usually into classic rock, blues and thrash metal, but synthwave and 80s stuff like this has been my bread and butter at work lately. <3
  5. Yeah that's why I haven't played in a few months. Unless you're lucky to get in a group that has people who want to play healer, you're stuck with it or you're going to lose. I'm not sure what the solution is, but it makes the game far less entertaining for me. In TF2 you'd have 10-16 player teams often, so it was less likely to happen that the classes would be a completely guaranteed fail. With the 6 players... it happens very, very often, and there's no incentive for players who just stick with hazno or snipers or the like to change.
  6. I try to upload avatar images but it seems once I upload them, it goes from a regular image to like a potato level amount of pixels and it's massively pixelated and you can't even seen what I uploaded. Why can't I upload a profile picture that isn't downgraded to 100p from 420p? I don't get it.
  7. Kubo and the two strings: interesting (but somewhat depressing) movie with a very cool combination of stop motion and 3D animation. I felt it was a more adult movie overall than not, and it struck home if anyone has had a relative with dementia. I'd give it 8/10, definitely a memorable and enjoyable movie (it had its light hearted parts too!) Finding Dory: mostly riding on Finding Nemo's coattails. The 3D animation and production value were pretty good still though, and the story was serviceable. Not a great type of this movie I've seen in recent history, but I'd toss it a 6.5/10. Worth watching and it's shorter time-wise.
  8. I just clicked a thread that was declared a 'dupe' by the mods yet was the top thread on this subforum when I viewed it, because it was a duplicate to this topic. Why does this forum bother putting locked threads at the top, ever? Seems like a waste of time for everyone involved.
  9. I'd hate to lose Edwin, he's pretty much the most exciting player on the team along with Donaldson. I guess it comes down to how much does EE want to stay in Toronto. I doubt they'll give him the best offer vs. other clubs especially since no cap system. It'd be a tough pill to swallow to let our top slugger walk even if we got a pretty good hitter in Morales.
  10. haha poor Biagini. But he has such a great future with the club, potentially even a starter at some point. He has good stuff and doesn't get rattled easily. "Weekend Trailer Park Supervisor" - heh, I like the poster title. Good job Randy.
  11. such entertaining baseball, wow Jays chose the perfect time to get hot.
  12. The Jays' pitching and D was amazing tonight. I especially loved how Liriano looked. He was tearing up their batters and looked like he was going to cruise through the next 5 innings--what a confidence boost after seeing Osuna leave. Only one major mistake and it was off the bat of the guy who's hit the most homers in MLB, so understandable. That Edwin homer was one of the exciting hits I've seen! Fun / anxiety inducing game to watch.
  13. Sounds like me. I thought they looked like dorks in the ads with senses of humour I wouldn't like at all. Gave them a chance, they're actually pretty good.
  14. So when it was clear Grilli didn't have his game, or at least the batters had his number, why weren't we swapping out pitchers as quickly as the Yankees were? Every one of these games count big time. Heck, at this point in the season I'd have one of our starters out there to pitch a single inning even, if that's what it takes to get the win. Not to mention we chewed through Biagini and Cecil instantly. Maybe we should give Biagini the opportunity to pitch 2 innings next time... I really don't understand the pitching changes sometimes.
  15. Pretty much. He's big... and that's pretty much it at this point. He lumbers around the ring, practically telegraphs every single move, and has the speed of molasses. Big country looked pretty comfortable against him. When you're being beaten up by a fat guy in speed, time to retire.
  16. Brutal 2 errors by Donaldson, I felt sorry for Dickey. Dude came in at a key time, didn't pitch too badly, and suddenly boom, two brutal errors and game over. Time to move on and aim for that wild card spot I guess..
  17. that's what the announcers even said, not sure why there was so much confusion
  18. It was an ugly inning to be sure. But at the end of the day, Sanchez had 0 earned runs against, which is superior to both what Estrada and Happ accomplished. Sanchez is back baby. This guy is going to be a pitching super star for years to come.
  19. Green Room - notable for Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard from Star Trek) being the antagonist. A horror movie about an unsuccessful punk rock band that gets a gig out in the boonies of Oregon, but take it since they're desperate. They play at a venue that has right-wing, neo-nazi militia vibes to it and is off the grid, and one of the band members happens to see something they shouldn't have seen. I'd give it a 6.5/10. There's very little character development and the bad guys' methods are pretty unimaginative and silly. However, for people who like some good killin' scenes and some gore (also, this is rated R and has gore), it gets pretty brutal in parts. Overall, entertaining but neither great nor bad. I feel a bit overrated by critics as Rotten Tomatoes presented it.
  20. Meh there's dozens of people around it's an easy miscommunication to happen. How about Russell Martin? MVP the last month or two.
