I'd say it's a relative no brainer considering the 32 million in retained and Dickey money coming off the books, that they're already 20 million under the soft cap even with those on the books, and his QO doesn't really take away from the 50ish million they should have to work with. EE, Saunders - and beyond that, guys like Benoit, Cecil... they're in a solid position.
I'm pretty firmly expecting that they pony up to JB. Aside from the loyalty, character and sheer clutch player that he is, there's the team identity and that of the fanbase, which imo has earned and should get what they want. I think in general most people would/should jump at a one year 17 million deal - if he'd accept that. I suspect he'd want more term and I think a year or so more may also be reasonable.
