  1. How to pull it off when it really matters. Fourpeat.
  2. our Premier got caught drinking, speeding /driving recklessly in a foreign country. it's part of our culture lol. drinking champagne and riding a zamboni on their own ice after a gold medal victory - they should be ashamed of th!mselves!
  3. Because it's a hell of a well fabricated motivational myth - and it's not that hard to imagine (certain) Americans doing that.
  4. In fairness to Sabresfan, he/she has been a very good sport all along and hasn't really taken any of this very seriously. Not a poor loser at all - in fact, an experienced Sabres fan! One of the best regular 'foreign' participants on these boards imo.
  5. You've missed a lot of context. We love Sabresfan. Sabresfan asked (literally) for some good old fashioned trash talking in the men's thread. It's all in good, rivalry fun.
  6. You must have missed the hit on Szabados behind the net (borderline - perhaps not a penalty) and the heavy slash in the third period (definite penalty that was let go). They used their mulligans. That even-up call in OT was entirely fair enough. They were warned.
  7. Those American girls look like that Silver medal is cough medicine.
  8. Loved that view from the netcam. Golden goal, right into your living room.
  9. um, yeah, ok. "The Clarkson Cup is an ice hockey trophy, which since 2009 has been awarded to the winner of the Canadian Women's Hockey Championship. Like the Stanley Cup, it was created by and named after a former Governor General of Canada: Adrienne Clarkson. Though initially awarded in 2006 to the Canadian national women's hockey team, it was intended to be awarded to the top women's club in Canada. From 2006 to 2008, it was not awarded, owing to a number of rights issues between Clarkson, Hockey Canada, and the artists responsible for making the trophy.[1] Beginning in 2009, the Clarkson Cup has been awarded, as intended, to the top women's club team."
  10. Some consolation for the silver medalists: 'As a woman I have no country. As a woman I want no country. As a woman, my country is the whole world.'
  11. this one matters more. there is no Stanley Cup for women.
  12. Sorry Sabresfan. That's gotta hurt. Feel bad for the American girls.... but not 'the Americans'.
  13. There you go. Suck it you cheap shot artist.
