  1. no - he saves his incessant fluffing for the Laffs/Dubas contrives absurd 'arguments' like "Dubas acquired McCann to leverage a #proper return on Kerfoot". wut? when you can outsmart yourself so soundly - in fluffing a GM that can't get a single playoff round win out of a #proper-rebuild and lottery champion / inevitable contender and multiple cup winner...it's impossible to take anything the guy says in here seriously. It's one thing to mix the odd one-liner in amongst some actual substance - but the endless one-liner whinging from that crew.... twitter versions of the smarmies that 'inform' them.
  2. I was impressed by Poolman in the playoffs. Watched every Jets game. Keeping in mind - he was playing in a top 4 (with Morrisey and Stanley) that did a tidy job of shutting down - and sweeping - McMe1st et al.... Morrissey and Poolman - gave up only 2 goals againt in 52:13 of 5on5 matchup.... Stanley and Poolman gave up only 1 goal in 66:19 - and were +2.
  3. Button already giving the Jets the "best team in Canada" accolades for next season....
  4. a good defensive center that can win faceoffs and kill penalties....? wtf is Dubas thinking lol.
  5. The knee-jerk whinging from the smarmies and JD Burke parrots is worth the risk alone.
  6. I liked Ceci as a depth option - can skate, kill penalties, good toolbox.... not sure I would have offered him a 13 million deal, though. had a solid season in Pittsburgh - and cashed in. when the Coil then turn around and flip Bear....meh. after having lost Larsson.... not sure I'd be too excited about this in the 'city of champions'. Keith, Barrie, Ceci, Russell....I won't be putting any money on a Coiler uptick.
  7. I like Bear - a lot - but Foegele is also a solid add - seems like a good hockey trade.
  8. damn you. you dump a bunch of other assets and hold onto the only one I really wanted.... you suck CBJ
  9. I guess if you're gonna keep the bun and the weiner around, you're gonna need a Coleman.
  10. he better become more than a tweener winger in Calgary... my concern with him would be that - given the way he plays (bigger than his frame) - I'd be concerned about these 30-35 years at that cap/contract. If I'm spending that money I probably go for an actual center - legit two way shutdown guy like Danault who can secondary score while frustrating the opposition's best. for me this is too hefty for a winger like Coleman - his grit and ability to score 20 goals may suggest he's earned it, but going to a team like Calgary...that just lost their #1D - that has a questionable top 6 imo...risky
  11. good signing - one of the guys I would have targeted - a bit more cap than expected but it is free agency after all.
  12. Ron Francis - 'don't want to pay me now - you'll pay later'.....
  13. NO!! not L.A. that's gonna be hard to watch. Love Eddie though - good for him and best of luck. Just don't pull a fn Willie Mitchell on us.
  14. He's been putting lip stick on the Leafs for some time. He won't have to do that in Carolina imo (who have a legit blueline). I think this will be a very good signing for the Canes.
  15. one of the best values in the gt market imo and a market with a lot of remaining buyers.
  16. that is gonna be one u.g.l.y. deal. one of the most over-rated defensemen in the NHL
  17. The Habs have a challenge to go to the market for a much needed guy to support Suzuki/Kotkaniemi...
  18. Nice to have Schenn come back - solid depth. Four RHD signings that could play for this team this year - that's a solid haul of depth.
  19. Wow. I'm shocked the Habs didn't pony up for a top 6 french center like him. he was incredibly important to the Habs run - maybe their most important forward. probably the most surprising UFA signing for me.
