  1. Yeah and he doesn't have to be protected. Really doesn't make sense unless there is more involved coming from Oilers side.
  2. this makes more sense, 1 for 1 with nothing else, didn't. I feel Neal has a much better chance of having a come back season. He has 10 straight 20+ goal season besides last year.
  3. I was so excited when we got Granlund for him. I'd seen both of them play during the prospect camps and Granlund always stood out in each of his games.
  4. Ohh i see, thanks. So unless he wanted to go back and play in Sweden it's not something he would want to do then.
  5. After signing Eriksson bonus, you think he might agree to a mutual termination and then he can sign with whoever will give him a couple mill. He wouldn't lose money that way and he would be off books. Or how does that work?
  6. no one is going to want him for free.. we would have to give up something for any time to take him. If it was that easy, it would have been done by now.
  7. If we can make the playoffs this year, the trade will be worth it. If the first becomes more than a top 10 then I wont be too happy with it. It's a gamble hoping we will make the playoffs in the next two years but I think it's doable .
  8. are those the new jerseys with the no Vancouver we are using as regular jerseys?
  9. I think this looks good for both teams but I hope it doesn't happen. Probably exactly what the Oilers need.
  10. He was one of my favourite players to watch at the prospect games. Seemed to have decent amount of skill and is a pretty big body. I wish him luck.
  11. Virtanen went 6th overall, Gaudette went 149th.. when a player goes in the 5th round you aren't really expecting them to make the team so when they do and they contribute anything, it feels like a win. I think that is why people are much harder on Jake, he's expected to be a much better player.
  12. I understand your point but knowing that your food is probably being prepared in not ideal environment things like this are probably going to happen, and though the chef should have put more thought into it, I'm sure if this guy went up to the chef and asked him if he didn't mind preparing his with separate gloves or whatever it wouldn't have been a big deal. If I had allergies or food choices like this, that is what I would do and then buy him a pack a beer or something for it. What if lots of people going had allergies or food choices, not an easy thing for the chef to be accommodating all the time
  13. in this case, you think Eriksson will get us Malkin? give them some more cap space
  14. but now are you complaining about complainers, complaining about complainers?
  15. exactly this, I get it's kind of gross to have the food be contaminated with something you don't want to eat but for one, it would be seared off and two, it's not like now an extra cow died due to this. Like if it fell in a little dirt, and if you really are that hungry, you wipe it off and eat it.
  16. guess it's selfish that I want them to keep suffering until after we are done suffering?
  17. I think in some cases it's okay, but I think the transition had to have started at an earlier age. I do believe people will take advantage and transition just to win some medals and be "top" in there whatever sport they are playing. I don't think there are really enough transgenders to start their own sports leagues or whatever. Not even 1% of people identify as transgender, then divide that by how many want to actually play sports and then divide that by the number of sports activities there are but then to not allow them to play in a womens league if they are legit in their identification isn't fair to them either. So anyone that has records of the process since an earlier age, should perhaps get to play with women. I think to have men in the 30s now saying they're transitioning, just isn't fair.
  18. Hard to say since Almeida hasn't played in the NHL yet, at least we know Gaudette can hold his own. Gaudette was top in scoring in his league at around the same age and won the Hobey baker. I would give the win to Gaudette.
  19. IF.... if he doesn't become a positive presence then he is useless. He can't backcheck. He would become a reliability. I think having Lucic is more risk than reward. Loui obviously is making way too much money for what he is worth but he does bring some positive to the team already.
  20. Lucic would still be taking up one of those spots too. Do you not think at 30 years old he hasn't tried skating coaches? and if he hasn't, you think he's going to start now or the fact that he hasn't, do you want someone who won't put in the effort to get better? You want to stick a slow ass Lucic with our two most skilled players? makes sense. They tried putting him with McDavid. Arguably the best player in the league and look how that ended up.
  21. Louie is one of our best penalty killers and he had more points than Lucic did last year.
  22. He's the reason the Sharks are the last team I want to win a cup. I think anytime a team makes a classless d-bag the captain(I know he's not the captain anymore) It just looks bad on the whole team. I kind of figure if they allow their captain to act like that then probably the whole team will be like that. I do like Pavelski though and think it was a good change for them as captain. So now I just don't want Thorton to win the cup.
