  1. He was asked for his texts to the deflators, which would be screened by his lawyer. He refused. They asked for a follow up interview with the deflator after they gained access to his text messages, and the Patriots' lawyers refused to allow it. The deflator denied even taking the footballs to the bathroom. When they showed him the security footage, he changed his story a few times. The decision was severe because 1) cheating 2) obstructing the investigation / lying 3) previous history with cheating A lot of the Patriots fans sound like Bruins fans when they're confronted with all of their garbage like diving, hypocrisy, head hunting, etc. On the one hand they claim the PSI of the football is irrelevant and then they bring up that they scored more points in the 2nd half with footballs in the proper inflation range.
  2. Seattle would be the obvious choice given the proximity between Vancouver and Seattle. Curious how you two came to be Patriots fans though. Might've happened during the early 2000s?
  3. You started the superbowl thing. I was just replying to your getting back draft picks thing.
  4. #EducateYourself #CantAppealLostDraftPicks
  5. Your'e right. Breaking the rules should be referred to as good sportsmanship instead of cheating. His agent is a moron. He's making himself look like a 9/11 conspiracy theorist with his ridiculous claims. What Brady needed was a PR guy to advise him. He shoud've admitted to what he did and the punishment would've been maybe a game or two.
  6. What's your point? The NFL isn't the public court system. The discipline they give to players for off field issues is in addition to whatever the legal system decides. Also, the Brady caption would more accurately be described as "Cheater and liar".
  7. Proof beyond a reasonable doubt is not needed for cheating violations in the NFL. Ready up on the policy. All of the stuff laid out in the Wells report is more than enough.
  8. Read up on the disciplinary process in the NFL for cheating. The standard of proof was changed years ago from 'beyond a reasonable doubt' to 'more probable than not'. How many games for cheating any lying?
  9. LOL. Can't wait for his ambulance chasing scumbag agent to blow a gasket.
  10. Tom Brady will be suspended by Roger Goodell for role in DeflateGate, announcement expected next week http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/myers-roger-goodell-suspend-tom-brady-deflategate-article-1.2215881?utm_content=buffer0aa28&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=NYDNSports+Twitter
  11. Ex-Patriot Damien Woody: I believe Tom Brady cheated http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/08/ex-patriot-damien-woody-i-believe-tom-brady-cheated/
  12. That makes no sense. If you're taking "the fall" for someone, you admit culpability and say only you were involved. Instead what you have is him telling 50 lies in his press conference, not cooperating with the investigation, saying he has no idea who the equipment guy is, etc.... The equipment guys don't do anything without the players telling them. They work in the same job for 15+ years. This is a simple case of Brady telling them he likes his footballs underinflated and that's what he gets.
  13. Jon Stewart roasted Brady in a 7 minute segment yesterday. "You're a Patriot Tom Brady. A team named after this country's most cherished post 9/11 surveillance act."
  14. I suspect the Patriots apologist would come up with some excuse even if "The Deflator" posted a picture of himself during the deflating process with the caption "Just deflated Tom's footballs. No lie."
  15. Goodell changed the proof required for cheating violations from 'beyond a reasonable doubt' to 'more likely than not' years ago. This is also part of the reason you see that terminology in the report.
  16. Report: Tom Brady Suspension ‘Could Span Up To One Season’ http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/05/07/tom-brady-suspension-deflategate/
  17. Did you want a movie directed by Spielberg showing Brady asking the ballboy to deflate the footballs as part of your concrete evidence? He was asked for his text messages as part of the investigation. He was told he and his lawyers could screen as much content as they wanted and only provide the relevant ones between him and the people involved in deflating. He refused. This sure sounds like someone who is innocent and trying to clear his name. Brady is eventually going to admit his part in this because he knows that cheaters and liars are punished more severely than those who admit wrongdoing.
  18. This isn't some conspiracy. The reason the Colts GM reported it is because Goodell made all the GMs sign an affidavit saying that their team hadn't violated any rules and they don't know of any other teams violating rules.
  19. What good is throwing the ball faster if you can't grip it properly. Brady's had 143 interceptions. Guess what? Most of them probably happened before he decided to start deflating his footballs. Read the report.
  20. They don't lodge a complaint because if the curve isn't illegal then you get a penalty and fined. You only request something like that if you know that the stick is illegal.
  21. If you have evidence of Rodgers telling someone to tamper with the footballs after they've been inspected by the refs, then he should be held accountable for that. All of these quarterbacks break the ball in how they like it and inflate it to the levels they want it at. The difference is Brady is directing the ballboy to take air out of the ball after it's been signed off by the refs.
  22. This doesn't have anything to do with this. This terminology is commonly used in non-criminal reports where you don't have DNA evidence / confessions / video.
  23. That's funny. Underinflated balls are easier for the running back to carry and less fumble prone. You don't need physics for this. It's common sense. Underinflated balls are also easier to grip for the quarterback and particularly useful during inclement weather conditions.
