  1. Yeah. I mean I don't doubt Tampa didn't break any rules but I also think they had a bit of help from the NHL to let the Bolts define when to take Kucherov out of LITR. Whether it's because of favoritism or because the NHL felt allow Bolts to go over the cap would be better ratings is another question. That said 365 days a year and Kucherov somehow becomes healthy the 5 days between the end of the regular season and game 1 of the playoffs.
  2. Yeah 2 years seems realistic. If he's does make it as a top 6 player that would be great but there's a good chance he's going to be a 3rd line player in his rookie year. His KHL numbers aren't exactly impressive so he might start out as more of an energy guy until he figures out his offensive side (if he does have one)
  3. Yep it's more about management squandering an opportunity more than anything. As I said before there's something wrong if an organization can't afford 4.25 million for Toffoli but can pay Roussel and Beagle for 3 million each
  4. I didn't say the 9th overall ... I said a 1st round pick
  5. So a 23:year old 70 pt player is overrated? If he was a Canuck most of us would be asking for a similar return for him
  6. I think the Flames will want an NHL player. My guess is this will cost Vancouver a 1st Round Pick + Boeser or Miller
  7. As I said before if the Bolts lineup were complete during the regular season the team would have had 100 points
  8. If his purpose is to fill the role Tanev did then this deal would be for less term and money. I would do it. For the cap issues, that's for Benning to figure out, he got the team to this situation it's his job to get the team out of it
  9. Because neither is ever going to say yes to this. Let's put it this way if you are really good as your profession and someone offers you a contract saying you will only earn about 1/10 of what you are worth for a year to get paid what you are worth the next year, without that being a guarantee. Would you say yes? Let's say you should be earning $50,000 a year and someone offers you $5,000 for a year. I think most of us probably would say no.
  10. Exactly since Eriksson was signed by Benning we all know Eriksson is a character guy and great in the locker room
  11. Part me also thinks he wanted to prove the world wrong and that trading Seguin for Eriksson was still a good idea. I remember that Bruins off-season doc a few years back and Benning there when discussing about Seguin's future. I wouldn't be surprised if Benning was one of the folks that wanted him traded away and recommended Eriksson
  12. So basically Benning was Loyal to Eriksson but not the way around
  13. Eriksson didn't come to Vancouver for Loyalty he came to Vancouver to collect a pay check. Loui actually had down years as a Bruin except his last season when it was his contract year. So Eriksson knew his was in his decline but decided to play like it was the playoffs his Contract year to cash in big. Which he did, good for him, and managed to outsmart Benning. So yeah this is the face that outsmarted and out witted our GM
  14. Looking at Joel Edmundson and his contract as a comparison, I think maybe Hamonic can be had for 3 million 3 to 4 years in the open Market. Personally I would do this especially if we were looking to replace Tanev with a better contract anyways. I guess maybe Benning can find a way to put Beagle in LITR for the season to make it fit in the cap.
  15. I think there was a side deal CBJ made with Vegas not to take him. Though I guess Vegas can't really complain since they got Karlsson instead who has been great for them
  16. Eh cant see Vegas losing any more games against the Habs especially considering how Vegas beat the Avs (who were this seasons World Beaters) the previous round
  17. But if the Habs win the cut it makes the North Division the strongest division making the Canucks look better because it wasn't them why they lost so many games it was the strong division
  18. Obviously preparing for next year in case the Avs face the Bolts in the finals next season
