Something does not compute at how Vancouver values players especially to comparables in terms of offense and position Gustav Nyquist - cost San Jose a 2nd and 3rd Wayne Simmonds - Hartman + 4th Mark Stone - prospect + player + 2nd Nino Niederreiter -bottom 6 forward Something does not compute when all things considered

Exactly if Russian players want to leave for the KHL chances are they aren't good enough in the NHL to make an impact to begin with. Yes there are exceptions like Radulov or Koluvachuck. But it's not like we are seeing Kucherov or Kuznetsov wanting to leave the NHL in favor of the KHL.

[Proposal] Erickson for shattenkirk
iinatcc replied to Canucks6's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I am pretty sure Shattenkirk still has a ton of value considering he's still a Top 4 dman. I can't say the same about Ericksson. -
We can't change history that and what happened in 2011 happened. All we could have hoped for before Game 7 is that the Blues coming out on top and denying Boston another cup. It's the lesser of two evils. Canucks deserved to win at 2011. It's not our fault that we are "pathetic" because the hockey gods took away something The Canucks and their fans deserved. There was no statistical precedence for Vancouver to lose at 2011 but a string of bad luck happened to that team. Heck if The Hawks had the same luck as Vancouver over the last decade, the Hawks wouldn't even have one cup. So yeah it's not our fault that the Canucks were cursed. The probability of dropping in the draft lottery 4 years in a row is lower than leading the series 2-0 in the cup final and losing the series.

Tampa always signing players lower than then value is what baffles me the most. Either Benning is a terrible GM in contact negotiations or Yzerman (back when he was GM) was a genius in contracts

Well an injustice is an injustice even if it happend 1, 8, or 120 years ago Also it's not just Canucks fans that have noticed biased referring in favor of the Bruins. I go to a cinephile (movie) website and many also feel the refs are biased towards the Bruins and Bruins lack of class as well. I am sure I am one of the only two Canucks fan in that board most I think are Oiler and Buffalo fans it seems.

WWE doesn't need to go to TV14 to get back to the glory days. I know most people associate the decline of WWE once they went to PG but I think it has more to do with WWE just being too corporate these days. Plus WWE RAW in 2002 with Triple H's necrophilia angle did nothing for them. CM Punk's Pipebomb in 2011 was the hottest thing the WWE had since the Attitude Era, Jericho vs Shawn Michaels' 2008 feud was a hot feud, Nexus invasion in 2010, Bayley was way over when she debuted back in 2016, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had that great feud some time back, Becky Lynch was red hot the moment she entered the Rumble this year. For the most part all these opportunities were, one way or the other, squandered by the WWE. Even if Austin was as hot as he was after Wrestlemania 13 with the booking and creative this way is now Austin would not have gotten over the way he ended up being. If WWE kept pushing The Rock as Rocky Maivia and is as stubborn as their obsession pushing Roman Reigns, Rock would have just been Roman Reigns in 1996 to 2001. AEW Double or Nothing, which I haven't seen, but something as simple as Cody and Dustin hugging got over with the crowd. Besides the blood, you could do that if your product was PG.
