  1. For whatever reason there's an Arizona Coyotes German Fan Group, from the looks of the comments and reactions the reaction of the Yotes pick was quite mixed from that group.

I actually still have faith that Cassels could be our 4th line center. As I said before you can't just ignore someone that can shut down McDavid in high pressure games.

The future looks bright indeed with these future stars
  4. Also no one could have predicted Arizona would go off the board like they did. If Arizona picked Zdina I think were 100% certain Detroit would have picked Hughes.
  5. Hughes, Boesser, Gaudette, Demko, and Cassels. I really hope this means Vancouver will have no problems attracting quality American free agents in the future
  6. and yet somehow they managed to get their team to the playoffs. Has Virtanen done that?
  7. Well what if Burrows returnes to th organization again as partofthr coaching staff wouldn't that make this thread relevant again?
  8. Best in the World? Who knows but he's the best in the WWE right now.
  9. I don't see why Brock can't be part of the core team. As we've seen in teams that have won a cup and won again after their team got into cap trouble. If you can identify your core everyone else can be replaced Right now I see Horvat and Boeser as part of that core. Though I'm not sure who else
  10. Tkachuck one is hurting right now but even if we move on from that there's still having to endure the team passed on other D-Men Sergachev, McAvoy, and Chychrun (all three are looking like they will bebe NHL quality defensemen)
  11. Well he did score 4 goals in 9 games last season. Spread that out by a while season that 36 goals. Plus some rookie dry spells than he could push for it.
  12. Anyone watching the Mae Young Classic? I saw all the episodes besides the final and had a great time watching the tournament. The first two episodes were pretty mediocre but once the winners advance, aka the better quality wrestlers, the matches got much better. It's been a very good tournament so far and I totally see WWE signing (if they haven't already signed) 10 to 14 of these women to beef up the Women Division.
  13. Ok but how do you explain his lack of effectiveness with the Sedins?
  14. Not if theres a Horvat for Draisatl deal in the works
  15. That Nylander kid is doing pretty well in the scrutiny fishbowl that is Toronto
  16. As tradeable as Vrbata's final year with Vancouver with a $5 Million cap hit?
  17. Extra frustrating huh? I kind of hope the NHL does something about this when it comes to the Salary Cap. Maybe install a "base salary cap" but have added buffer based on the percentage of the taxes of each team. I mean in what world where Tampa can sign Steven Stamkos to an $8.5 Million deal?
  18. I have a feeling the Horvat camp is waiting what Edmonton does with McDavid and Draisaitl before they make a move. At this point I think Horvat is getting a little above 6 Million
  19. While I still think Vancouver should have picked Cody Glass over Elias Pettersson the recent interviews in TSN 1040 with the Hockey Analysts has, at least, been assuring after the Pettersson pick.
  20. If the fans and the media think Horvat is the future captain of the team then his value is very high. And in the professional world if you are good at something always make sure you are getting paid your worth. Also keep in mind Horvat's agent also gets a cut so its also in the agents best interest for Horvat to get the best possible deal.
  21. Who would be the spoiled punk you are referring to?
  22. Depends on what you thought of him before. For me he will be the guy that taded away Forsberg for Erat
  23. I will respectfully disagree but because of this I just have to post this (again no disrespect but I can't get a time more appropriate than this) ....
  24. Another goalie with the last name DiPietro? Maybe this is why Benning didn't draft Glass so he wants to avoid the Irony of drafting a goalie called DiPietro and a guy called Glass in the same draft year. Benning decision vindicated
  25. Look I know I am not a hockey expert and, like most here, I'm just a spectator but I do read and listen to what the actual hockey experts, analysts, and professionals have to say and the consensus is that Glass and Vilardi were higher ranked prospects than Pettersson. In the case of Glass he is a very safe player to pick with a very high ceiling (Mark Scheifele and Patrice Bergeron). What that is your BPA in a position the organization needs to fillout mid and long term, why go for someone with a higher risk and basically "a project"
