  1. Throwing a little shade JB’s way. I’d expect nothing less from you. .
  2. Whiners will continue to whine long after Benning and Green have moved on. There will always be whipping boys and scapegoats aplenty. It’s the nature of the beast on CDC. Says me, who whines about the whiners.
  3. Yes. A lot of gms are totally missing the boat on AG. You’d think there would have been a bidding war for him. Paddy Kane should be sh$tting himself because AG is gonna come in there to replace him on pp 1. Just kidding.
  4. You had me worried so I got my crack team of statistical experts to run analysis on what the value of a late draft pick is, and the answer is, not very much Pistol Pete13, not very much at all. I’ll sleep a little better tonight.
  5. There’s always something to complain about isn’t there? Thanks for posting that. As a guy that has to listen to people complain about their tax returns all day long, your post was a refreshing break.
  6. TO adds that first pairing D that was so badly needed. Hutty in front of Big Save Dave should be impenetrable.
  7. If your going to be mad about signing Tanner Pearson based on his 2019 numbers then I guess it’s okay to say wtf about this trade based on Gaudette’s 2019 numbers.
  8. Don’t worry we have plenty of leaf blowers on this forum,. Dubas can do no wrong He got bid save Dave, 33 years young Foligno and some other real good players. They’re planning the parade now. Throwing a little shade at dimjim too. It’s thrilling to be a Leaf fan right now.
  9. I could see Carter making more of an impact in the playoffs for the Pens, than Foligno does for the Laffs. Wonder what the Pens had to give up.
  10. Lol. Laffs just throwing draft picks at the wall and hoping that something sticks. The chemistry in that dressing room must be off the charts right now. And a huge vote of confidence for their excellent defence. No changes necessary because Laffs are going to outscore their mistakes. We’ll see how that goes when the zebras put away their whistles.
  11. So true. Not to mention that Toronto has supposedly already met their needs for “that kind of player” when they acquired Simmonds and Thornton and Spezza and and and.....
  12. Point is, maybe these guys might know a bit more than us arm chair quarterbacks. Chiarelli was decent in Ottawa and Boston but he failed in Edmonton. He too, has one more Ring on his finger than I do. Chiarelli played hockey at Harvard and graduated from University of Ottawa law school. He the became a player agent before joining the Senators. I don’t think that makes him a failure in life, but I guess you don’t see it that way. He’d be a interesting guy to have a beer with and talk hockey. There’s more that goes on than meets the eye. It’s fun coming here to hear what others think. I have no illusions that, from our distant vantage point, we will have all the answers. Fwiw, I think that Benning overpaid Pearson, but in the big scheme of things, I don’t think that it’s going to make our break the team’s future.
  13. Anything is possible when you have friends in high places.
  14. Dim Jim has one Stanley Cup to his name. I have to laugh when CDC gives him advice on what it takes to win a Stanley Cup .
  15. That’s hilarious. Talking heads speculate that Canucks poor start was because the players are upset because of player departures. Players respond to questioning by saying that yes we miss those players, but we will figure it out. This all adds up to Canucks are livid? I was right here on planet earth during January and February. I obviously don’t connect the dots the same way as you do. My buy in rate on media created hysteria is somewhere in the 1 or 2 out of ten range. The media is starving to be relevant, so they force feed you fables, that you should take with a grain of salt. Attributing the Canucks poor start to a hangover from playoff success, or because they are playing in a division against teams that we had a losing record against (last year), is boring and it doesn’t sell papers. So let’s stir up some sh$t, and make some money.
  16. The players were livid..,.. You know this how? Do you just pull ideas out of your a$$ and then build your narrative around those ideas? Or is there some actual substance here? Which players were livid? Are they still livid? Is it affecting their play? Do they plan to leave the team because of it?
  17. They are the last two guys from the 2012 SCF team. Zajac is 35 and Palmier, Sutter and Pearson are all 30 or 31. At this age, they are all fairly close to equal. A first round pick, even if it is late in the round is a pretty good return for aging vets.
