Keefe must be better at stroking the TO media than the fiery Babcock was.

Has size but doesn’t hit. Sounds like a new whipping boy for the rabid fan base here. Can’t piss and moan about the salary though. Welcome to Vancouver Jimmy.

I’m with @Silent Man on this one. In this unique season, Canucks got jobbed by the schedule maker. I think that they do have input on such things, and someone dropped the ball. I’m not a huge fan of Gillis, but I have to say that he was on top of the details re travel and sleep management etc. With no competition for building availability anywhere in Canada, it should have been a lot easier to schedule the games in a more equitable way. Just my 2 cents. GCG.

I’m proud of the way the team hung in there after a poor start. Whipping boys Sutter, Myers and Jake all had strong games. Benn was decent as well. Holding the McDavid line to one measly goal was awesome, Thatcher played lights out and deserved first star. I don’t understand all the sniveling about the team being overly reliant on getting solid goaltending. Last time I looked, the goalie is a member of the team and he plays 60 minutes. Why is it a bad thing to get great goaltending? Other teams also get it. I hear that the guy in aTB is okay, the Panthers have decent goaltending, and on it goes. Yet if the Canucks get great goaltending, the cry is, they couldn’t have done anything without their goalie. sure the team got of to a crappy start and is facing an uphill battle to climb back up the standings. The team has been playing better lately (5 wins out of last 7 games). I’m just happy that dimjim understands the importance of having strong goaltending.

[Speculation] Teams Calling on Schmidt and Motte
PistolPete13 replied to CRAZY_4_NAZZY's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Considering how terrible the coaching is in Vancouver, all of our players would look so much better on other teams. Easily worth high draft picks then, amirite? -
Thanks for bring some sanity to this discussion iBatch. People that don’t think that the “rich” don’t pay taxes don’t understand that the top marginal tax rate in BC (on income over $220,000) is 53.5%. Some people seem to that sic “tax write offs” exist that will make all of this magically disappear. In reality, these write offs are few, if any. Most people wouldn’t even get out of bed in the morning knowing that 53.5% of each extra dollar they earn, is just going to be taxed away.
