They sent Milone to the minors after the acquisitions of Samardzijda and Hammel. He was 6-0 there since going down and wasn't a liability by any stretch in the bigs. That's why I suggested they moved him as a favour because they didn't have a spot for him.
Still, he's slated to make $510k next year and isn't a FA for three years. Fuld is a career 4/5 OF who Oakland waived earlier this year. I'm guessing they like his personality and his ability to take a walk and steal bases.
Normally Beane would try and get some more youth back too. I would have thought he could get a low A prospect back. Ah well, he's the genius and I'm a hockey fan.
