  1. I hope he can push our team into giving the Pacific division opponents a Chile reception when they come into our building. Norway we get pushed around on home ice anymore. Once we start Russian the puck up the ice there will be no stopping us!
  2. I think he's ready to Finnish the job. He's no Turkey. Oman, I can't wait.
  3. Pratt obviously has no sources inside the Canucks but if there was a way to add both Johnstom and Lidster to the staff we'd have a powerhouse going on. Maybe we could move Gulutzan upstairs.
  4. As long as everyone is on the same page I'm all for it.
  5. Isles still Considering trading up in the 1st round.
  6. Learn an instrument. Learn a language. Live in another country for 6 months. Work in as many different type of jobs as possible. Say "Yes" to almost very opportunity. You'll have lots of time to do all the things 'you're supposed to do' later. With the modern world you may live to be 200 years old or WWIII could end us in a year. Either way, the advice remains the same. / Oh... And learn to budget your money and cook your own food. Those are two of the most important skills you could acquire.
  7. And, c2x, your dedication to this game continues to be awe inspiring. So much else on your mind and you still are right on the ball. I may be a giant hockey nerd but this is the best game I've ever played.
  8. And Ty Webb continues to remake that roster from league joke to a seriously intriguing storyline. I think we've seen the last of Columbus being in the basement. The Mad Professor has apparently continued to be busy in his lab creating his own Frankenstein's monster.
  9. Picking at 8, 10, 11, 18, 41, 43 and 46, the Isles are poised to have a good day.
  10. The is normally where I retort that I just want a decent first date. But I just had one. So...yes. Hope springs eternal.
  11. That's much better!!! And relieving. I was going to let you use it but I was going to resign based on your lack of good judgement.
  12. I give you permission to use the name Aynsley regardless of the sex of the child. If it's a boy though he'll resent it until he's about 14 or 15. Heads up.
  13. I'm pretty sure PO and Wilb have you beat.
  14. Yeah, you were pretty fresh faced when I met you. I'm sure you've aged immeasurably since.
  15. I first felt old when I saw a Playboy centrefold younger than me. Then I felt really old when I went on a date with a girl who didn't know what the Berlin Wall was. Now, thinking there are members here who wouldn't remember 9/11 makes me feel positively ancient. Thank goodness for Wilb, PO and BH to balance that out a bit.
  16. The 1st time it's really unlike anything you've ever experienced apparently. The 2nd time you couldn't believe anything could equal the 1st time. By the 3rd time you probably are just are missing sleep.
  17. Oh, and I'd be happy to step in for you too on Saturday.
  18. Right on, chief!!! I'm easy. I was REALLY looking forward to Saturday though as I planned my whole day around it. I suggest if we do move it back we do so no later than Monday at 7pm. Not sure how well this may work for the other time zone members as I'm sure they've probably needed to work around our schedule anyway.
  19. The first decision I need to make for draft day.... Maui ribs, steak or pizza? The beer is not optional.
  20. No limits on negotiations? The doors are open?
  21. Actually, every time I hear the name I think of Ke$ha in the past tense.
  22. The Isles have been fielding multiple inquiries regarding goaltender John Gibson after the recent contract to Tuukka Rask was announced. The club has no intention of moving him at this point and expect him to battle in training camp for the backup role on our club.
  23. Big congratulations go out to Isles prospect Patrik Nemeth who scored the OT Calder Cup clinching goal. Nemeth was the 2nd to last selection in the inaugural 2010 draft at 83rd overall, and was taken as a project d-man who we saw great upside in. Patrik has advanced every year of his career as he grows into his massive frame and seems poised to make another leap this upcoming season after getting his first taste of regular and postseason NHL action.
  24. I wouldn't even use a 3rd on him. I don't think he'll play. There are going to be many good players available in the 3rd and 4th who I'd take first because they may actually have careers in the NHL. Guys I've seen multiple times in the Dub like one if the trio of D. Turgeon, Schoenborn or Iverson, or Mayo or Kirkland. Better an NHL depth guy that someone who can only play one role on the team or not at all.
