My first reaction was what are you doing... then seeing Zaun shaking his head before even speaking I knew he felt the same as I did. He just went overboard with it, say what you want on your way to Martin, fist pump say "F*** Yeah" or something like that and end it, he just kept it going and going to make a scene, I definitely agree with Zaun on the issue. -

Whether it's for Gibbons or just revenge/anger towards a team or ump, it can get a team more into a game especially on a slump when there heads just aren't in it sometimes. Definitely glad it happened today and Gibbons had all the right to argue that call today and be ejected. -

Yet I never saw the umpire single the sign that it was under protest... I don't think the Jays are unfortunately -

They should be playing this game under protest, that was complete garbage. -

The positives: Pillar is doing a great job at the plate and is definitely seeing the ball well, although his outfield it does look like he has lost a step but he's still our best outfielder. Smoak I think everyone was hoping he'd be like this but we all know we didn't expect it lol, but he's doing his job. Morales has been alright very similar to EE in Cleveland, will see how it goes in the next couple months. Starting pitching has been pretty good definitely doing their job, keeping the Jays in the games to win, especially with 2 starters down. Negatives: Clutch hitting is the biggest concern I see, way to many runners left on base every game, if they can start stringing hits together and moving runners around games would be so different, but also comes down to your Manager and how your coaching the game. Relief pitching has been a concern on this team for years, and it's still a problem unfortunately, a lead is never safe on this team once relievers start entering the game. Personally I'd like to see Gibbons ejected from the game today, might be able to light some fire under this team and get them going, at this point I'd try anything and I think that's a good start. -

This I found very funny well worth the watch, definitely a new trend I could start slowly seeing in MLB ballparks. -

This is some interesting news Cubs pitching coach thinks Thames is using PEDs, he can't handle a guy tearing it up. Personally I don't believe it, always saw talent in the guy, I feel in the 5 years he was gone he did what he had to in Japan to get better. Although if it is true would be a real shame, I guess you just never really know anymore, but I'm leaning towards he didn't or isn't. Cubs' Lackey, Bosio hint Thames might be using PEDs "Well, the bottom line is (Thames) has hit the ball and we gotta figure out a way to get around (it)," Bosio said on "The Mully and Hanley Show," according to Patrick Redford of Deadspin. "All that other stuff, I'll let other people worry about. But he's doing stuff that I haven't seen done for a long time. You start thinking about Ken Griffey Jr., Manny Ramirez when he went to the Dodgers, Barry Bonds. You're talking about some of the greatest players to ever play this game. So, yeah, it's probably a 'head-scratcher' because nobody knows who this guy is. And when he was here before, his body has changed. But, like I said, I'll leave that to everyone else and we're just gonna try to worry about how to pitch him better and get him out." "You watch film on recent stuff and try to figure out a way, you know, to get him out. But I mean, really even the homer hit the other way, I mean, you don't see that happen here very often," Lackey said, according to Chris Cwik of Yahoo Sports, adding with a wink: "That's kinda one of those things that makes you scratch your head." http://www.thescore.com/news/1285107 -

Yeah gotcha, tbh I didn't like AA either for years because he was a rookie and didn't know the game of baseball that well. Took him some years to finally figure it out and some bad trades along the way, but in his last 2 years on the job he finally started to figure it out and made some key moves and signings. And I don't blame him for leaving because he would have no final say in player acquisitions under Shatkins, it was just very bad timing for his contract to be up and of course Rogers was scared and wanting a different approach. -

I don't always disagree with you bud, but regarding this matter I have too. Rogers was worried with how much money and contracts we're going to be dished out, so they wanted to bring in someone who will listen to them. I never liked Beeston, but he obviously wanted to go out with a bang and gave AA the green light to spend, trade, or sign anyone which Rogers probably didn't like they wanted a different approach, not spending anymore money. Which happened last year, new management didn't make any big signs or trades and just went with the team AA built, and Rogers made bank off our previous ownership team, not from Shatkins. AA would of went and at least found a lead off hitter actually he did Revere, but Shatkins didn't resign him, AA would of. AA wouldn't of resigned Smoak in the middle of the season and concentrated more on trying to resign EE in the off season. I'm already done with this new management/ownership, and to top it off they resigned Gibbons to an extension before even seeing how this crucial season goes. -

Hate to say this but I did say last year for my hate to Rogers that part of me does hope they suck and lose money and forces Rogers to sell and someone else buys them willing to win. Although the fan in me wants them to win still, hence the anger sometimes... -

Yes and no, but tbh the last 3 years he has declined in the OF, but his arm has actually improved this year. I remember when he used to have a gun out there it was really strong, it's obviously not that good anymore but it's better then it has been the last couple years. -

That's insane wish I lived in Toronto. It's obvious the fans are getting less and less every game, but I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the Leafs as well. -

Obviously Trout is on another level, but stats wise that year Donaldson was beating him when Zaun said that, that's why I didn't agree, and he realized it after. Yeah if this team keeps losing every 3 out of 4 games up to the 30 game mark he better be gone. Sadly I doubt this organization would allow Zaun the job, but he's my pick for sure.
