  1. Still your taking a huge gamble risking going down by 6 runs instead of just 3 still, luckily it worked out but I don't think I would of risked it when it's obvious the other team is onto your starter.
  2. Why is Estrada still pitching? He's obviously struggling and Rays are on to him, why risk putting your team in a deeper hole just to get more out of him to save the bullpen I don't get Gibbons stubborn
  3. Pitching really hasn't been the problem except for Lirianos start, it's been the hitters and not being consistent enough yet. 1st inning today was a good start but it really needs to continue through out the game, can't expect your pitcher to hold a 2-0 lead all the time.
  4. No not yet rumor was San Fran was going to bring him back, but not now, they just signed Melvin Upton Jr.
  5. Yes I see what you mean maybe, but according to Gibbons it was he wants to get Salty in but doesn't know where, and just wanted to get him in and felt he's a professional catcher and it shouldn't matter who's pitching. Regarding Martin though he always leaves his hand out by his glove and doesn't like tucking it behind his back pisses me off, Zaun brought this up many years ago.
  6. It reminds me of Estrada and Navarro a couple years ago they worked really well together, but you didn't split them up, I just don't get Gibbons sometimes. I don't see a problem with Salty catching anyone else, but if Salty has a favorite or one he's caught more this year to learn them more, he should be catching for them.
  7. I agree with Zaun, Gibbons screwed up and it should of been Martin catching Liriano, that was one of the main reasons in bringing him over in the first place
  8. Yeah gotcha you at least have something to look forward too lol
  9. He did get 2 runs, but only 1 HR. In spring training he didn't hit a HR until the last game of spring. So in total technically with his new club he has 2 HRs, but only 1 counts for the season.
  10. Especially when you think about it that EE used to be a 3B, JB was as well, now Donaldson, not mentioning Lawrie lol, but we've been pretty lucky with 3B. But I'm not going to lie I would have Machado over Donaldson if I had a choice, as hard as it is to say, but Machado is just that good.
  11. Well I see Edwin was being Edwin yesterday, definitely helped Indians win yesterday, got his first HR of the season!
  12. If JB isn't going to hit, but play RF like that and get assists I can accept that any game.
  13. Expecting Bautista to be swinging for the fence in his next at bat, I got a feeling the fans got under his skin in the RF corner an inning ago, could be a good thing! Or not lol
  14. I'm actually shocked tbh, but glad Gibbons made the right decision!
  15. Best opening season yet, watching a bottom feeder team crush the Yankees
  16. Should of cut him with Upton tbh, Pearce can step in at 1st, Morales the occasional one, Bautista if they really need it, and hell even that Tellez is better then Smoak.
  17. Still wish this team signed Revere would of fixed 2 problems for 1 LF and leadoff and for cheap. Revere hit over .400 in spring and is labeled as their 4th outfielder still, feel bad for the guy.
  18. They played at BC place back in the 90's, but that was the last of any MLB teams to play here. Now with the new Reno's they did to the stadium rumor is no baseball can be played there anymore due to the scoreboard being in the way, supposedly would cost to much to replace or remove for something of this nature, pretty sad actually since the stadium was built to accommodate baseball but now can't because of a scoreboard. The stadium is also built to accommodate a baseball diamond, with retractable seating sections making room for right field. The Vancouver Canadians of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League played several series of games there between 1984 and 1988, including games 1 and 2 of the 1985 league championship series. Numerous Major League Baseball spring training games were also played, including in 1984 (Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers), 1986 (Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Montreal Expos and Seattle Mariners), 1993 (Toronto, Seattle, Milwaukee and Detroit Tigers) and 1994 MLB season (Toronto, Seattle, Montreal and Colorado Rockies).[28]
  19. No question this team does lack that physical presence, but they're in a rebuild, and this team isn't in a place to be at the top of the league yet or a threat, but once that happens they better address the issue. I'm sure they will when that time comes it's just not yet, and it will come through trades or free agent signing. I still believe Virtanen will help this issue out eventually, whether it's next year or the year after, but his physical presence will be very welcomed.
