Totally understand the business part, but seriously if this was a different year say 2010 for instance, the comments towards EE and his agent wouldn't be they made their own bed, it would be they tested the market and came to a decision with .... This off season for power hitters and contracts was one of the weirdest I have ever seen, comparing to the past. Look at some power hitters contracts compared to EE and you don't go and say they made their own bed, no because they got paid like everyone else does. EE got screwed imo he deserves more. -

Actually Rogers Stepped up and gave Shatkins more money to sign him, that's what was being reported back then. -

Very true good way to look at it. I'm just personally more on the win now window then worrying about down the road. I still would of preferred EE now, but I understand Morales is capable of filling most of the offensive hole left from EE. Just I know EE and what he already was capable of, so they're was no guessing or hoping, you know what your going to get out of him plus 1B, which is a little higher then Morales. -

Some ups and some downs, hard to evaluate them as a team yet as they have been playing a lot of prospects and Travis and Donaldson recovering. Bautista is in game form, Pillar has been decent, Morales he's been alright still prefer EE, Upton still sucks, Smoak still sucks, Pearce haven't watched him much, Barney has been Barney, Martin has been alright little lazy behind the plate but it is spring training, Tulo so far has looked good, Goins bat still struggles but defense is good. Pitching wise hard to really evaluate them as they are limited to innings, and it's early, but Latos who struggled early in spring has started to look better. -

He did this last year too they were trying him out as lead off and he was ripping it up looked like a no brainier, then as the season got going reality kicked back in. He's just to eager to hit the ball all the time doesn't have the patience to be a lead off, hopefully he proves me wrong and has adjusted his approach. He could easily be a great lead off if he wanted to be. -

Yeah probably eh lol, the only thing that sucks with my phone is no extended memory didn't know. I used to own an HTC phone which I liked even more might go back to them once this one kicks it. I'd rather get more pitching help then more outfielders. Pearce, Upton and Carrera can cover the outfield even Barney can help if needed for. Rather have Goins up over him. Smoak is going to start there and be given a chance, will see what happens I believe he will fail but time will tell. I see Morales and Pearce covering 1B, but I do see JB playing there eventually as well which gives Pearce the outfield. I'm a no at Travis at 1B, tbh I see him best as a DH. -

I've never followed any big sports companies tbh, just download their apps instead. I've used TheScore for 4 or 5 years, I tried Sportsnet's and hated it, TheScore imo is perfect for every sports fan, and like I said you just favorite a team or player and get all their news sent to you on pop ups instead of searching for them which is nice. -

I'll take it your talking about Twitter? I don't follow them but I use their app for news and scores for all sports. The thing I like most is the teams I favorite I get all their news on pop ups. -

Yes the Jays offered a little raise but in Boras and Sanchez eyes they felt he deserved more then that still so they rejected it, so Jays turned around and said alright here you go less! Deal with it nice management! -

Agree that it should be dealt behind closed doors away from the public, but if a team is low balling your client after talks, then you do in a way have a right to speak your mind on the matter. -

If this team really wants to win, then Smoak not playing is the best for that to happen, Pearce has to become the 1B. For crying out loud Tim Tebow did and has done better then Smoak in his first 5 games. Tim Tebow - 5 games 3-14(.214) with 4 strikeouts. Smoak - first 5 games 2-15(.133) with 7 strikeouts. Even more shocking for Smoak now after 10 games 4-26(.154) 10 strikeouts he's played double the amount of games as Tebow and has 1 more hit... Pathetic. -

It's horrible news, been really following him because of you, and he really did stand out he's got a lot of skills in his game, would of been happy with him starting LF. His speed is impressive and the fact he said he likes to bunt, he seems to play the outfield well especially for Canada looked good in CF. Hopefully he recovers well and quick and can bounce back. -

Blue Jays' Pompey shut down with concussion Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins delivered some lousy news Thursday, telling reporters that outfielder Dalton Pompey - vying for a spot on the active roster this spring - has been shut down due to a concussion sustained last week at the World Baseball Classic, according to Arash Madani of Sportsnet. Pompey, who missed about three weeks in 2016 after suffering a concussion while playing for Triple-A Buffalo, was put through Major League Baseball's concussion protocol after exiting Team Canada's first-round loss to Colombia on Saturday with mild dizziness - the result of a wonky headfirst slide into second base. He'll have to clear the protocol before he can return. http://www.thescore.com/news/1256326 -

This is just Boras trying to make his statement to the Jays basically, that it's going to cost them big money coming up if they want to keep Sanchez. It sucks but we kind of knew it was coming after Sanchez got Boras as his agent, Boras's record speaks for itself. Sanchez knows and I know the Jays will try and offer him the lowest or maybe they will just pull a Price and not even offer him anything.... Anyways as mentioned this is just the start, more will happen throughout the year as a scare tactic that Boras will try and use towards the Jays. Speaking of relationships, after Sanchez hired Boras that's when the bro love of Sanchez and Stroman split up, I guess Stro feels he is going for greed, but Sanchez is just playing his cards right imo. -

And so it begins..... Boras calls out Blue Jays for handling of Sanchez's contract The agent believes his client, starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez deserved a substantial raise. Instead, Sanchez's contract was renewed for the major-league minimum $535,000 for 2017. Boras considers the move unfair and inadequate based on Sanchez's performance, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports "They offered him a very small raise above the minimum, which is not commensurate to his performance peers," Boras said. "Some teams have very low payment standards but they say if you renew we understand, but you still keep the money we’re giving you. Toronto is so rigid, they not only have a very antiquated or substandard policy compared to the other teams for extraordinary performance, but if you don’t accept what that low standard is, they then have the poison pill of saying, you get paid the minimum. It’s the harshest treatment in baseball that any club could provide for a player. That’s why few teams have such a policy." Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins sees the situation differently. The Blue Jays offered Sanchez a raise, and Sanchez turned it down. The result was based on a longstanding team policy. "This is a policy that was put in place 10 years ago," Atkins said. "I don’t see it as punitive, we don’t see it as punitive because it’s your choice to not accept the higher number." http://www.thescore.com/news/1250743 -
