Yeah I was shocked the card he bought was graded 10 he definitely got a steal. Actually my Father found out about Zephyr a few months ago while searching the web and those annoying ads they throw in there in your searches actually paid off for once lol, but was cool seeing them at the card show. They definitely seem to have the best prices, I used to check that one in Langley Pastime Sports and there in other places as well, but this Zephyr is better then them that's for sure.

[Report] Robert Bortuzzo suspended 4 games
ChuckNORRIS4Cup replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
Lol Canucks luck it would be 10 games This suspension should of been more imo, even the first cross check was bad, so dangerous being whiplashed from behind like that, also surprised his head didn't hit the cross bar on that first cross check, and if it did he could of got a concussion. But then that 2nd cross check was an attempt to injure with a weapon technically, almost similar with McSorley and being charged with assault because he used his stick/weapon to injure someone, don't really see much difference besides one was directed at the head and the other was directed at the lower body, still the same body... -
[Report] Robert Bortuzzo suspended 4 games

I was just thinking if this had happened to say like Pettersson and he was then out for 4-6 weeks and then you find out the guy only got 4 games for it, I'd be pissed. -
Terminator Dark Fate 7.5/10 I'm shocked by the lack of the support this movie is getting, but goes to show the past 3 films really hurt this franchise. But this is a good movie in my opinion, it's based on after the 2nd Terminator Judgment Day, so it eliminates the last 3 films. So people who grew up watching Terminator 1 and 2 will probably enjoy this one, but the generation of people who grew up watching the past 3 movies probably won't like this one because it has nothing to do with those films. This movie gives closure in a way finally to the one and only T-800 Arnold Schwarzenegger, but also leaves the door open for something down the road if they want to do this franchise ever again.

So went to the Card Show in Langley yesterday, compared to the one last year, this one was busier and more tables everywhere for sellers, so it was better this year. Saw Doug Gilmour signing autographs, but didn't get one. Some cool stuff to see from sellers, some old history of just sports collectibles in general, old Canucks stuff, most of the sellers now a days are more into selling single cards, my brother did pick up an Elias Pettersson(RC) Young Gun graded 10 and he talked the guy down to $150, Quinn Hughes(RC) Young Gun was going for $40-50 ungraded. I'm more old school and like the boxes and opening packs to find cards. Most of the box sellers were sectioned in one area near the upper deck section, a company named Zephyr Epic who I'm new to hearing about, they weren't at the Langley Card Show last year, but they have some decent prices, definitely a company I'll keep an eye out for in the future. Anyways overall decent and good card show.

Yeah.... Why would anyone talk about the NFL in a hockey forum when a Grey Cup is going on instead.....
-
I get that, just stupid of CFL lol. This game is so popular look at how many are talking about it on here
-
The one thing that baffles me the most about this Grey Cup, is it's not televised on CBC.... Instead TSN carries the Grey Cup, so people have to have a tv provider to watch a game that already struggles to get viewers imo. Why not put it on CBC and people who don't pay for cable could actually pick up the game on satellite and watch it, and maybe get more people interested watching this sport, but hey who cares right why would you want more people watching the CFL

Babcock or Green. Who would you rather see coach the Canucks.
ChuckNORRIS4Cup replied to rekker's topic in Canucks Talk
Personally I'd wait out the season to make that decision, making that kind of move on a team that's actually doing not to bad right now would send a weird message to the guys, and it could do more harm then good. -
It's funny when you go to the Score App and click on Loui Eriksson they give him a Mercy point, it says he has 1 point on the season, but has 0 goals and 0 assists 12 GP, 0 points, 0 hits..... 0 shots on net in his last 4 games. How the heck does a guy who's trying to prove he belongs in the NHL, and says he's worried about his stats as a Swedish born player, not have 1 shot in 4 games.... Looks to me that this guy has given up completely, and is just riding it out now only.

Man I miss Bure, I finally watched the whole thing, and then I started watching more Bure videos, then I found myself looking for super series games to see if young Bure was playing in some Anyways when you watch him before his first knee surgery the explosiveness he had out of the gate was insane, he was already gone before getting to top speed impressive. Then after his first surgery, he came back and still had his speed but his explosiveness out the gate wasn't the same, he could still get up to that top speed but his starts weren't as explosive as they were prior, but he still had enough speed and quickness to get the job done and was still faster then pretty much everyone. But when you see that transition from Florida to the Rangers and he had that 2nd knee surgery, that's when you could tell he wasn't going to be the same ever again sadly. He just didn't have the explosiveness out of the gate anymore, he still had speed but it wasn't the same anymore, he couldn't get that jump like he used to unfortunately, he showed some flashes of his old self occasionally, but no way could he do it at that same level all the time anymore. It's sad because I wish Bure was able to play a full 18 year like career, the guy was such a talented player would of been amazing to see him play without knee injuries, the things he could of done if he never had knee injuries, he probably would of scored 70+ goals at one point. I want another Pavel Bure

If he was in the lineup last night, who knows what the final score would of been though...

I always felt it had something to do with last year and how they handled Gagner and FA wasn't to happy with a guy making $3M playing in the minors, so I felt Benning was hesitant with Eriksson and doing the same, and how he may possibly be worried how FA would feel if a $6M guy was playing in the minors. Then I started thinking about the Boston connection these 2 have from the past. Benning probably feels bad for Eriksson because he brought him over here from Boston, and doesn't want to send a friend of his out of the NHL. I think he feels he would be the reason to end Erikssons NHL career, and he doesn't want to do that to him because of their past connection and probably a friendship, so he's trying to give Eriksson one more chance but it's obviously not working, Benning needs to put on his big boy pants and step up already and do the right thing waive him already.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup replied to rekker's topic in Canucks Talk
It's unfortunately not that easy, management is committed to Green so they won't pull a Toronto and fire him after a 6 game losing streak. If this team struggles through out the season and misses the playoffs by a bunch then I could see a coaching change, lots of things factor in as well, especially injuries and who Green is dealing with throughout the season could factor in as well. But if this team come trade deadline is in the playoff picture, with healthy players and then misses the playoffs then I could see Green gone. -

What's actually alarming regarding Green and our last coach WD, WD actually had a better win percentage then what Green is having at this moment, that's alarming. Green is supposedly coaching a more younger faster skilled team then what WD coached, yet Green is getting a lesser win percentage then what WD was able to get, so is Green really doing better? Stats show he's not unfortunately. -

Really a bum player like Commodore can influence your opinion on Babcock... Just because someone rants on social media.... So if Loui Eriksson decided to take this approach you would support Eriksson.... Commodore never got 30 points once in his NHL career. Before signing in Detroit, Columbus tried to trade Commodore, waived him to the minors couldn't trade him so ended up buying him out to just get ride of him. And he's mad at Babcock.... Give me a break Commodore was no one, he's the last person I would listen to regarding anything, can't believe how easily people can be influenced when listening to someone like this because he just ranted on social media. If the player who was ranting was a legit star type player then maybe I'd listen, but Commodore isn't or wasn't, he was a plug player that's all, don't get fooled by his useless rant. -
