WEED on a hell of a run right now, up over $6 in two trading days. NYSE listing imminent. -

According to charts, the key resistance for ACB is 8.31, if it can get over that it will run a bit. If it fails to get over that, its just a lower high and it will continue to consolidate. Check out The Chart Guys on YouTube for awesome MJ analysis. -

I definitely think its going up more in the short term, but over the summer I think cheaper prices can be had... So hard to say with the NYSE listing, its a pretty big deal. First ever MJ company on the NYSE. Today was an awesome day for WEED... Good day for ACB too. -

Yeah that's what scares me too... They will be close to a billion shares once the buy out LEAF. Ive been in and out of ACB since they were under 50 cents. I was initially attracted to them because of there geographic location and abundance of resource available and no provincial tax.... But they are definitely doing it Alberta style, go big or go home. APH has long been one of my favorites, alot to do with Vic Neufeld. Got in APH at 1.45 originally... Got out in the 20s and just bought back in at 10 a couple weeks ago. WEED is a monster now, about to list on the NYSE by the end of the month, I originally got into them at 2.65, been in and out several times. I think they will be over 40 by end of next week... Americans will gobble that stock up like crazy. It got pumped hard on Jim Cramers Mad Money yesterday.... With all that being said, I plan on selling everything before the June 7th vote. I expect a sell on news event. -

I sold my shares of ACB on Monday when they announced the LEAF deal... Ive never been a fan of them but have held shares to make quick profits. This last bunch of dilution is gonna take a while to recover from.. The next level of support is at 6.75, if it drops below that then lookout below. The timing of this latest dilution is also terrible.... Other companies are making nice gains right now, APH and WEED, so not only are you losing percentages with ACB, your missing out on more gains with the other two if you just added more shares to them. I was more than happy to sell my 5k shares of ACB on Monday for 8.05 and add another 1.5k shares of WEED. If you do want to get out of ACB they are getting very oversold, RSI almost in the teens, could be an oversold bounce on Friday morning with an opportunity to get out when it runs up a bit... Might run back to $8 but doubt much higher. GL bud, hopefully you've already made some sick gains. -

My bank guy told me flat out that order to qualify for a more well managed account, you need to have a least 250k or beyond in your rrsps... Lucky for me since self directing 2 years ago that's not an issue. Now the bank is begging for to take control of my rrsps... I told them to cool those jets and I'll let them know when I dont feel like doing it anymore. Thank you pot stocks... Also same bank told me 2 years ago not to invest in pot stocks. Yes they are volatile AF but buying Canopy at 2.65 has been the best thing I ever did. -
I live in Vic and saw alot of him... Hicketts is a very determined guy and I think he will succeed in the NHL... Also an even smaller comparable I cheer to make it would be Matthew Phillips.... That kid is all heart and a blast to watch.

Lind is going to look like an absolute steal in a few years.... He has all the tools.

[Discussion] Signing Kane in the offseason
Vanisleryan replied to smokes's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I honestly dont think he is as needed for this team as people think. Id rather be patient and see what we have in the prospect pool. We have some guys that I think will surprise and push for spots next season. The last thing I want to do is have more money tied up in an unmovable contract. -

MJN is a good company for sure, I also like APH, EMH and WEED. Once I began holding long term, those three will be my key holdings in MJ. -

Oh I agree, never make a financial decision based on what others are doing or even telling you. Always do your own due diligence. 2 years ago when I started investing in pot stocks, my bank said it was a bad idea. I disagreed and since then Im up about 1100%. Right now ots ironic because when my family or friends ask me whether or not to invest I simply tell them thats its extremely volatile and there is just as much risk to the downside as up. I tell them to do there own research and only invest what they can afford to lose. ACB has also made me tons as well. First bought it at 47 cents, my only distaste for ACB is there dilution is out of hand. ATM though Im quite happy sitting on cash, I think buying opportunities will be great in the next few months. -

ACB Im not a fan of but I can see it going back to low 8s maybe even 7s. These are just rough estimates based on the share price previous to the euphoric rise they had in December... They went up to fast. These stocks have been a day traders wet dream, Im not one but I am intrigued by the process and enjoy watching and learning. I was at my bank on Friday and got to talking with one of the financial guys and he told me that over the holidays everyone and their grandma was coming in asking about pot stocks. In the later weeks he got alot of calls back because of people losing 30 to 50 percent after the pull back from the highs. People seem to think these stocks will just go straight up, that sort of trajectory is not healthy for a stock. Pull back and consolidation is. Key things to remember: People are buying these stocks based on future projections, but this is tricky because it really is a new sector. We can use some examples from Southern States but Canada seems to be content on using a controlled model similar if not pretty much the same as liquor. They will control distribution and pretty much dictate the price. Margins arent going to be as high as some people think. Also pay attention to the market cap, some are getting out of hand. ACB at $20 puts them around a 10B dollar market cap on a company thats hardly turned a profit yet. Fear of Missing Out will continue to drive this sector but it works both ways so when it drops, it drops hard and fast. Look at the charts and you'll see what Im talking about. Make your decisions based on rationale and not emotion, there will be plenty of time to buy into these companies. I highly recommend watching The Chart Guys on YouTube, they do a segment on MJ. -

Tell me about it. I have a very nice size rrsp but cant afford a home. So frustrating. -
Was at the Royals game tonight and Lind is a definite gamer. He must have had 6 or 7 shots, had a beauty of a one timer for a goal on the PP. Plays alot more chippy than I expected too. He goes hard to the net and doesn't back down from anyone either. Cant wait to see this kid in a Canucks uniform. Oh and please Benning some how get Cal Foote out of Tampa, he would be an awesome addition to our blue line.
