  1. General Fanager isn't showing anything, and it has shown on other deal like Lucic. I'm hopefull that there's nothing.
  2. Honestly, If the Sedins come back on value contracts in the future, we could have a bargain second line for 3 or 4 years after their initial contract is up.
  3. I see it the other way around. Bo's inexperience was exposed by being thrown into the second line. He started adapting at the end of the season but now that he has that experience against the toughest players in the league, put him back down against lesser competition and let him run amok for a season or two. Sutter has the experience and 2-way game to survive (maybe not thrive) on the second line. I think eventually the switch will be made, but I don't believe it should happen yet.
  4. For your second lineup, I'd swap wings for Rodin and Eriksson. Since they're both RW, I'd prefer to have the more proven guy playing his natural position.
  5. Staal just went to Min for 3 years @ 3.5M... That could have been good.
  6. So, we have just over 4 Mil left in cap space. Do we stand pat or pick someone else up? Edit: Brower went for 4.5 AAV. He would have been a nice addition.
  7. I've noticed this as well. They've covered a lot of the smaller deals as well but they don't seem to want to talk about Eriksson at all.
  8. PLD plays for Cape Breton, not Charlottetown. I'm guessing the confusion came from the fact that the Twitter account belongs to the Screaming Eagles.
  9. Looking at this, it seems like his performance this year will be crucial and very telling as to what we can expect going forward.
  10. If he gets traded, does it have to be within the Q or can he be moved to the OHL and WHL as well?
  11. Edit: I can't get the formatting to work, Not sure why it worked in the other Demko thread. Anyways, link to the article below. http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/canucks-sign-top-prospect-thatcher-demko-when-will-we-see-him-in-the-nhl/
  12. That comes down to the money bit that I mentioned at the end though. Or is there more to ELC's. I admit that I'm not super well versed in the finer points. I figure, if he were going to choose the money route, then he would sign this year and it would never get to that point in the first place.
  13. Outside of loyalty to the Canucks organization coupled with a strong commitment to his education, I don't see a reason why he wouldn't go UFA if he spent the last year in college, and at that point, there was nothing to suggest he had any loyalty to the Canucks. If Demko had decided to go back to College, I would have agreed that free agency was likely for him. I wouldn't have stated it definitively, but I probably would have strongly believed it. Him signing here showed that, for whatever reason, he did want to be part of the organisation (from what I can tell, it's because of our lack of goalie depth which will likely fast track him to the NHL) and therefor fit into the OP's first scenario. Either that, or as you said, he just wanted money fast, but it seems that neither of us believe that.
  14. I'm not sure why. All he said was that if he goes back to college, it's unlikely that he'll sign with the Canucks next off season. He opened up by saying, if he wants to be a part of the Canucks, It makes sense for him to sign this year. Which he did.
  15. Demko was 36th overall. A very high second rounder. Edit: Someone beat me to it. ^
  16. Listening to that, it sounded like he wants to go pro but he doesn't want to rush it. I got the feeling that he's planning on making the jump after his sophomore season. Here's hoping!
  17. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for posting!
  18. I swapped all the cables, and tested the new PSU on my girlfriends computer, still nothing. This one's a doozy. Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it! I hooked up the power button from my girlfriends case to my MoBo and checked to make sure my heatsync was secure. I've checked out the step by step, and everything is pointing towards a faulty MoBo. I'm currently waiting for an e-mail back from the supplier to see if they will exchange it for another. Thank you for the help!
  19. If I'm in the wrong thread for this, I'm sorry. I was hoping someone might be able to provide some tech support for my gaming rig. When I hit the power button, nothing happens. No fans, lights, nothing at all. I replaced my PSU yesterday but the problem persisted. My motherboard and CPU are less than 3 weeks old, and I've been monitoring the temperatures under load to ensure I've installed them correctly. They have stayed at acceptable levels. I have tried plugging into multiple sources (power bars, directly into the wall) and I have triple checked my cables to make sure everything is plugged in properly and in the appropriate place. Frankly, I'm at a loss and starting to miss my games. If any of you have suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.
