  1. But it wasn't to the face, it was to the chest. 2 minute minor. It's the second hit that makes him fall and slam his face into the ice. It was bad luck and I hope he's okay, but it wasn't especially dirty or worthy of a major.
  2. Hearing that he was fired made my morning. Terrible coach who did nothing to address their obvious defensive issues, just kept giving pressers saying what he thought the team was doing well. And that would have been fine if he was at least trying behind the scenes to address the problems but he wasn't. So, bye!
  3. Canucks interested in re-signing Schenn Source: https://www.tsn.ca/canucks-interested-in-re-signing-schenn-1.1283112
  4. He's said he wants to keep playing as long as his body will let him and that he's doing all of the extra work he needs to do to try to keep his body healthy (with a special emphasis on his hips.) He was injured earlier this year but it was just a fluke accident when someone fell on his knee that could have happened to anyone. Other than that, he's seemed fine. He's definitely at the age where you have to take each season on its own and not plan beyond that, but I expect him to come back for another season.
  5. With a 36 (on 39 shots) effort tonight against Colorado, Luongo earned his 485th win and moved into the 3rd all time wins alone ahead of Belfour.
  6. Or had a team that could match Boston's defense and scoring.
  7. Back from bereavement leave, Luo stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced to get win #484 against the LAK, tying him with Belflour for 3rd all time.
  8. Why was Luo the only one expected to up his game? Our scoring dried up and most of it came in a few games. The officiating was atrocious. Half of the team was injured and held together with stick tape and determination. And they were all exhausted, both psychically and emotionally because even the Canadian media was attacking them. But of course Luo was supposed to somehow turn into a super hero and win it single-handedly. If Boston thought that way they would have never made it to the Finals to begin with...
  9. I'm a well known supporter of goalies but I'd be lying to not admit I'm glad to see Nilsson gone. I feel bad for Archie though. He's already been sent to their AHL team. I was hoping the trade would give him a better chance at time in the bigs.
  10. Add another win and shutout for Luo. 33 saves in his return game as the Cats spanked Boston 5-0.
