  10. Thanks @thejazz97for the quick negotiations! Sad to see Schmaltz go as I've had him on my team since the beginning of the league but we didn't have enough cap space to start the season and had to make a trade. Very excited to add Turcotte to our prospect pool. 14. Haha that was me back in the day before relocating the team to Vancouver. The GM at the time was loading up for the playoffs and was willing to give up the future for that. I think in the year of the trade and the year after the trade I lost out on fantasy points. Buff and Couture are the big names but Martinez has always been a force in fantasy. Eaves was one year removed from a 30 goal season and Riley Nash was having the best season of his life with Boston. If I remember correctly, at the last hour I suggested to add James Neal on my end and Erik Karlsson on his end but he backed out of that and ended up losing in the 3rd round. Neal may have made the difference as that was the year Vegas made the finals. Given how far Karlsson has dropped, that's worked out well too lol
  15. Haha we were holding our breath till the end there if it makes you feel better, we don’t have the depth this year to do much in the playoffs
  16. Colorado Playoff Roster Here's our playoff roster assuming that we make it with Iafallo added to our roster for the remainder of the regular season. Definitely a weaker group than past years but we'll look to retool in the offseason and to put ourselves in a position to contend again. Jordan Greenway - Leon Draisaitl - David Pastrnak Artturi Lehkonen - Anthony Cirelli - Tyler Bozak Mitchell Stephens Josh Morrissey - Alex Pietrangelo Torey Krug - Jared Spurgeon Neal Pionk - Dante Fabbro Haydn Fleury @Nail
  17. Tough to make this trade but with the expansion draft coming up and several big contracts expiring this year, it seemed smart to get something back for our assets. The Demko demand was insanely high the last few months and adding a top young asset who is expansion exempt was key. Hughes doesn't need a new contract until next season and Klingberg would have either been lost in the expansion draft or a cap casualty. Koskinen is no number 1 in real life but he's a decent backup goalie who can put together a couple wins here and there. The draft picks aren't anything special but we've been able to pick up some decent players in the later rounds in the last few drafts so we're confident that we can turn them into something good. This also frees up a bit cap space for us next season with Demko needing a new contract. We debating loading up for the playoffs for a long time but with several of our key players either injured, out of a playoff spot, or underperforming this year, we'd have to do a massive overhaul in order to keep up with the big guns. We just didn't have the time to put together so many trades as work has been busy. Didn't think of moving 12 guys out in one trade... I'm still very happy with where the team is at and the boys are young enough for us to make a run next year. Time to see how far Mackinnon and Landeskog can carry us this year!
  18. Vancouver puts Johann Larsson on waivers
  19. Happy to see Nathan MacKinnon front and centre on the new banner
  20. Thank you @Patnat96 for the negotiations. I’m sad to see Wennberg and Gregor go as I’ve had them both on the team for a long time. Wennberg was a guy I took in the inaugural CDCP draft in 2015 and I’ve had high hopes for him since his 59 point breakout season. The long-term deal I signed him to after that year was easily one of my worst mistakes as a GM and after 3 years of waiting for him to return to form, it’s time to move on. We think that our next crop of young forwards, will be able to replace Wennberg's production for a fraction of the price. Gregor was a draft pick I made in 2016 and it was a pleasant surprise to see him actually make it to the NHL. I think he can carve out a career as a bottom six guy. Likewise, Terry has a bright future in the NHL as a two-way middle six player. Given how well we did last year, I would have loved to run it back with the same group to see if we could beat out @JE14 and his juggernaut Hurricanes for first place. Unfortunately, things had to be moved to create cap and roster space. Before the trade, Vancouver was $400k over the cap and had Terry and Gregor both in the minors due to lack of open spots on the main team. We’ve been talking to a lot of teams over the last two months and this trade seemed to make the most sense. Getting back a 2nd round pick and a solid prospect in Gildon get us good pieces for the future when the current core gets old. Gildon is a physical, offensive d-man who will produce well in this league if he makes it. Kyrou is also a guy @maroe and I have been a fan of for a while and we hope to see him take the next step offensively. Happy New Year everyone!
  21. Vancouver selects Owen Lindmark from the University of Wisconsin. 2019 draft eligible but wasn't taken in our league last year. @apollo
  22. Vancouver selects Anton Johannesson @Sygvard/@Sestito'sHandMadeVodka
