Lean do you know that in the sel only one player gets an assist? Yea so a player could make a nice play to set up a goal but not get an assist. Also my point is being that jensen playing fourth line minutes with no one else to help out scored a guy playing top line minutes with jonathon towes. The sel is still a competitive league... a lot of thier players could be in the nhl. Not too mention during the lock out lots of nhl players were there....

Didn't know that. Anyways, Saad was put all over the place in Chicago, not just the top line. Pretty sure Jensen played third or second line minutes as well. Plus, although the SEL is competitive, it is not at the same level as the NHL. Bigger rinks, softer players(for the most part), etc. The Canucks are an NHL team and we want NHL quality players... We don't know just yet if Jensen is at that level.

As people have said right now Saad looks more appealing but in the end Jensen will be the better player.

  3. Pietrangelo and Hamhuis weren't mentioned, pretty sure that they're paired together as they were both seen wearing black shirts (same with Subban and Bouwmeester who were paired with each other)
  4. Nice, I believe Schroeder and Hodgson went to one of these things.
  5. Schroeder to Weise goal made it to number 49 in the top 50 nhl plays of the year

  6. Speaking of ass to the grass, I did some atg squats yesterday and I'm really feeling the soreness in my glutes. I foam rolled and stretched before and after the workout, did cardio after, took an icebath, and foam rolled throughout the day today. It still hurts like hell when I try to get up from my seat. help?
  7. I got mine for only 80 bucks; have my connections
  8. Ignore em. They're probably trying to intimidate you... lol I used to do that to kids when I started lifting (regret it though)
  9. Got new training shoes and wow it makes a great difference. I was stuck using running shoes or chuck taylors for squat's and DL's. My ankles were wobbling around like crazy due to the bounce in the running shoes. No bouncing and my feet were able to drive the ground pretty well.
  10. Why does tsn have to put Duthie in every top 10? he's not funny

  12. Ok, i'm confused. So this summer I've been working my ass off trying to improve on my bench max. I saw great results during the first 2-4 weeks but now it seems like i'm regressing. Today I was barely able to rep my usual 5rpm three times. Tried changing up my routines. Went 4x4 for the first couple of weeks(two times a week), then Wendlers 5/3/1 for the next four weeks(once a week), and now im doing 5x5 (once a week) I was also forced to use the chest press machine for the last two weeks due to the db and bb benches being used. Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?
  13. Doesn't Bo Horvat look like Kassian in NHL 13?

  14. haha yeah, I remember during PE class in school I was completely gassed after soccer. The funny thing is that I sucked at it but sprinted up and down the field trying to get in the way of passes and shots. Good times.
  15. Well you gotta hit your macro's in order to maximize your gains. If you don't know how much you're taking in then you won't know what your missing or what you're eating too much of. (btw sorry about my grammar if it's messed up, I was elevated half an hour ago )
  16. Sounds like you are in the same situation I was in during 2010. Seems like an alright diet plan. Try substituting greek yogurt with hemp hearts and chia seeds instead of your PB and toast. Eat every 2 hours. Be sure to change up your workout every few weeks(maybe four?). German Volume training is great, but your gains are gonna be limited if you continue to do the same things over and over again.
  17. Macronutrients; like carbs, proteins, etc.
  18. He actually wasn't that bad, just not spectacular. Got six points during the regular season. Never really got the chance to play a "shutdown" role against the Kings (played against the 4th and 3rd lines most of the time) but one of the very few times he played against LA's second line he scored a goal for us.
  19. Change is one of the biggest things needed when working out. My strength and conditioning coach went through a long one hour lecture on how to actually workout effectively and change is a big part of it. I forgot what it's called but apparently if you don't add variety to your workouts (ie. german volume for a whole year as opposed to powerlifting, plyo, olympic lifts spread out throughout the year) you won't be getting the best results and/or regressing.
  20. Kassian's been working hard this off season, check it out. http://canucksarmy.com/2013/8/7/catching-up-with-zack-kassians-trainer

awesome. I know Kass is capable of kicking some serious ass, if he wants it bad enough.

That was a really good article, I think it was worth a thread.

  21. Sounds a lot like Pahlsson in the games that he played well on our team.
