Would you rather have Nylander, Tkachuk and Glass (Consensus Picks) or Virtanen, Juolevi and Pettersson (Benning Picks)?

There's no guarantee that this team would have ended up with Nylander AND Tkachuk because either of these players may overachieve to put us out of reach from getting the other player, as well as getting picks like Pettersson. In short, there's too many variables.
There's also the possible scenario that Virtanen would have turned out to be the next Jarome Iginla and he was the dude in your backyard. Meanwhile, there's not really a guarantee that Nylander nor Tkachuk would have been good for the Canucks.
Hindsight is useless for analyzing.

Benning's picks. Petey changed the aura around the team, the city/fans/provinces interest in the team. Jake was more of a symbolic pick, everybody always complained "we don't draft local kids" "can't believe we didn't draft that guy". Nobody says that anymore. OJ its too early tell gotta wait 200 games to see what he really is, he's been good so far. I don't think Tkachuk/Nylander/Glass would be any better. Calgary sucks, Nylanders train bait, Glass probably gets traded too

What you are failing to factor in is the cap hit. We are getting more for our money. In a salary cap world you can’t just have talent in your top 3 highest paid players.
Would you want to be paying Nylander a $7 million cap hit?
I like Virtanen for the price we are paying for him. Good bottom 6 with the chance to break out and flashes of brilliance.
Tkachuk is a scum bag. Talented no doubt but no thanks in the locker room.
