  1. What exactly did you hate about Green?

He gets a ton of hate but I didn’t see anything that was so bad to think he was a bad coach. With Willie D his insistence to play guys like Megan and Chaput on the top line was one instance of how an average fan could see he was bad. But with Green I can’t really come up with anything beside maybe him not calling enough timeouts when the game was getting away from them?

He’s a good coach. He’ll get another head coaching job when he wants one.

Im not sure Benning sees another GM seat open up for him.

@Dazzle I think it’s a lot easier to see Benning was a bad GM pretty quickly with poor decisions every year that average fans would know not to do. It’s harder for people to judge coaching because we don’t understand what the issues in the system are. I’ll admit that I don’t understand there nuances of coaching all that much that’s why I asked this question. All I saw was players not performing well and I wasn’t sure if it was the coaching system or the players fault.

@ken kaniff Benning's time has definitely come to an end. But by that same token, making excuses for a coach that has five years on the job, good or bad, while casting blame in another position shows bias. Why are you judging one position more harshly than the other?

And why can't Benning's failures be tied in with Green's coaching, since GREEN is the one who assembles HIS rosters? Every single year, we see some kind of pet project from Green that doesn't actually pan out. Pouliot for example. Then we see players like Chiasson who hasn't done much for his gifted PP time, although I admit he's looked pretty good under Boudreau.

All I see is bias from you.
