  1. I see comments just as bad on CDC. Actually we are worse, I routinely see Canucks fans wishing death/extreme injury on Bruins players. Take off the homer glasses.
  2. Was thinking the same thing when I heard it during the game
  3. This is the worst thread I've ever seen on CDC if it's serious, if not, lol
  4. Hopefully we got out there and give it a solid effort and come out with a win. Go Canucks go. I'm sure AHL teams are dangerous if they get a "couple of lucky goals".
  5. At first it only looked like a typical dirty, classless, garbage play by Boston, but I was surprised when he was laid out and stretcher came out. I hope he is alright and Thornton gets a 10 game suspension. LOL Edit: Thornton seems legitimately upset and apologetic about his actions and their outcome. That doesn't change the fact that he needs to be punished severely, but at least he isn't a psychopath.
  6. Thanking f****** f*** at least we won Sucks to give up the point to someone we are directly competing for a playoff spot with, but hey, at least we got the 2 points vs a good team.
  7. But it has to be a goal on the first shot of the game or it has to be in the first 2 minutes of the game, or it doesn't count.
  8. We probably won the Booth trade, I'm pretty sure Booth has more points in the last two games than Sammuelsson has had the entire time he's been back in Detroit. The Schneider trade we may have won, won't know for sure for 5 years or so. The Dalpe and Welsh trade we won. We won the 4th rounder for Ehrhoff trade. Won the Higgins trade. Anyways, to answer your question, the last time we won a trade was September 29th 2013.
  9. Inb4 the trade Burrows he is injury prone threads start popping up
  10. I hope this isn't true, would be terrible for us
  11. I feel like I see flashes of every single thing a brilliant, dominate, power forward does, but he rarely puts it all together in a single game, and never does it consistently. To me, the skill set is there, he just needs to learn to put it all together on a consistent bases. PWF historically take quite a bit of time to put it all together, so we'll see how he develops in the next two years. It's too early to call him a bust/disappointment.
  12. Yeah lets get rid of some of our only secondary scoring without any reliable, tested replacement. I like that idea. Santorelli is money in the bank for us this year, he's a great 3C that can kill penalties and probably has more even strength points than Kesler, but yeah, lets not resign him we have too much secondary scoring.
  13. This post raises a lot of good points. So many people look back in hindsight and think its obvious how things would have turned out in the moment.
  14. He does stop hard goals, quite a bit actually, but you can't really expect any goalie to save 2 on 1's consistently, especially if the pass isn't taken away (he's actually stopped quite a few 2 on 1's and held us in a lot of games). Btw he is the 11th highest payed goaltender in the league, not third.
  15. The Sharks are way bigger than us, Thornton 6'4 220, Marleau 6'2 220, Burns 6'5 230, even their smaller guys are at least Keslers size or bigger. The Ducks are significantly bigger too, Perry 6'3 210, Getzlaf 6'4 220 etc etc.
  16. I agree, after the season is done he will probably have slightly above average stats, but that wont change the fact that he didn't steal us the points he could have stolen us early in the season if he didn't let in so many weak goals.
  17. Honestly if he's not playing well because he doesn't want to be here, he is an embarrassment to the sport.
  18. Luongo can be expected to have stats in at least the top 15 of starter goalies, and he doesn't. News flash, every teams fans are critical of players on their team, so your last sentence couldn't be more ignorant.
  19. The numbers I provided most certainly include guys that have played 3-5 games, like you said. Your stats are more fair. I agree with your sentiment too, Luongo isn't the only reason we are losing games but he isn't exactly standing on his head to steal us games either. He'll be better like he always is mid-late season.
  20. I agree the PP was and is pathetic, but people need to stop acting like Luongo doesn't need to steal some games or let in less than 2 goals per game! LA has the same goals for as us with one less game played and look at their record in comparison to ours. Quick gets injured and their backup comes in and gets two shutouts in a row, and a bunch of other games where he only aloud one goal, and he is LA's freaking backup ffs. Luongo is 41st in Sv% and 29th in GAA and has let in numourous weak goals he should have had. Our defense hasn't been good enough and we need to score more goals but people need to take the homer glasses off and realize Luo isn't playing that well either,
  21. The second goal was a terrible one. Luongo has to have shots like that. Definitely a soft goal.
  22. Torts definitely has a large say in who is or isnt on the roster, just like any other coach. Crawford has a 2.50 GAA and .908 Sv% this year, definitely not great numbers. He played very well tonight though.
