  1. The reason why a large portion of what you said had nothing to do with my post, was because you are acting like I was jumping to a bunch of different conclusions that I didn't even mention in my post. Basically everything in the last two paragraphs (the post before the one I'm quoting now) I said nothing about and had nothing to do with the point I was trying to make. While I do believe Lack started more games than a backup usually does, I will agree that I thought he started significantly more games than he did. I was wrong about that. I also didn't know Lack and Torts had come out and said that the pressure was directly causing his somewhat less than stellar (at least in comparison to before) performances. I was wrong about that too. Perhaps I'm a little sensitive to people piling on Lack and making it out like he is a bust and is totally failing us (I'm not saying you are acting like that) and all this doom and gloom when in reality he really isn't playing all too bad at all.
  2. 75% of what you just wrote had nothing to do with what I posted, so thats kind of weird. I agree the defense sucked when Luo was here too. All I was saying was if you look at the goals the majority of them Lack had little to no chance to stop. 2 on 1s, breakaways, tap ins, tip ins and the like. I'm not convinced that just because he is letting in the odd bad goal its because the pressure is getting to him. Again, correlation doesn't imply causation. Lastly, Luo being injured or not, they started a relatively similar amount of games. Luo being injured for who knows how long at the time was probably a lot of pressure too and he played fine then as well.
  3. Lack played very close to as many games as Luongo did this season while they were both here. So i'd argue that except for the very start of the season he was never the backup. They shared the starter position. While I agree that having the pressure of being the the undisputed #1 can effect performance, I'm not convinced thats whats happening with Lack. I'd also argue that the stats tell a different story than reality. Yes his stats have been quite bad since the trade. But if you actually watch the games and see the kinds of goals the majority of them are its clear that goaltending isn't the problem. Our defense just sucks. Regardless, just because he has let in more goals since becoming the undisputed #1 doesn't mean its because of the pressure, correlation doesn't imply causation.
  4. Except the rookie played as good or better than Luo this year. Your point is moot.
  5. The experience of getting swept > top ten pick
  6. I love it. I'm sure the boys miss Luo like the rest of us
  7. So then we are you trying to make the point that somehow trading Luongo made us worse? If goaltending wasn't and still isn't the problem then didn't gaining Matthias make us better?
  8. Yeah cause we were winning left right and center when he was still here Luo lost something like 5 straight games leading up to this trade. With terrible stats too.
  9. Jensen looking quite good. Hopefully he can build on this recent success and become a top 6 player for us.
  10. Why is everyone so upset? Better to lose than win right now anyways. You guys want to make the playoffs just to get swept in 4 games again?
  11. If we full on crash and burn at best we could get an 8.1%-10.7% chance at the first overall. If we do somehow, by act of the hockey gods, get the first overall, who do we pick with it?
  12. Being bigger doesn't necessarily mean you lose speed and agility. Booth is 6'0 212 and is very fast and agile. Kesler 6'2 205, fast as heck. Dale Weise, our fastest player at the skills comp, if i remember correctly, 6'2 210. Even Hansen is 6'1 195. So all our fastest players are big. Being big, gaining weight, gaining muscle etc, doesnt make you slower necessarily. That being said, I would rather grab Ritchie, Perlini or Virtanen over Ehlers.
  13. Correlation doesn't imply causation. I like Torts system and I think it can be effective. I think its been other factors that have caused these problems. But its no surprise and no first time that the coach gets all the blame for a little less than a myriad of different problems and factors.
  14. They do, but would they want to potentially pass up on the McJesus sweepstakes?
  15. Nick Ritchie is a massive LW at 6'3 235 and would most likely be available if we pick around 5-6. Would be sick to have someone with that size and skill in our system. Perlini is quite massive too for a forward and for his age.
  16. Will be nice to have Santo as a winger next season. If he plays like he did this year he'll be a great third liner and an ok second liner for us.
  17. I love Linden, I really do. But he has no experience running an NHL team. I'd much rather have someone with experience than a complete gamble.
  18. So the guy likes to mess around and have fun and isn't afraid of looking a little silly. Seems like a cool guy to me. Regardless, neither of these videos have anything to do with how well he plays hockey.
  19. Maybe overall he is as good as some of them, but he isn't Vezina caliber until he wins one. Elite, all star, franchise goalie, etc all things that describe Luongo's career. Vezina, no. Unless Horvat comes out of the gate in training camp and is amazing I'd much rather not rush him and let him at least play one year in the AHL.
  20. We couldnt have gotten the same deal or better last year or we would have. Flordia couldn't do the trade last year and still was holding onto Markstrom being their future number 1.
  21. Miller didn't have a gigantic contract that is super risky and punished under the new CBA. Thats why. I'm honestly surprised we even got that much for him.
  22. Any factual source or just a troll/gullible person?
