Having played the beta, I can honestly say, I have no idea what the hype is about. Nor why the budget was supposedly $500m. It's an okay game, but it's basically a cross of Titanfall/COD/BF/Halo in a new setting, with larger scope for exploring. I'd rather get NHL 15 and play it for twice as long than have to share time with this. Baffling as to why people are raving about it.

Titanfall is the best game I've ever played. My issue with Halo is that I didn't ever immerse myself into the storyline. I never felt like this was 'real', nor did I care about the events happening. It was just a shooting game. Multiplayer was good, but nowhere near Titanfall is. I'll still buy it and complete them all again though!

Over 100 multiplayer maps? Re-mastered Halo 2? It's not quite Titanfall, but it's ruddy good.

FWIW, Ekblad would be my #1 and the only player in this draft class I'd want on either the Canucks or my Predators team. The kid is going to be a stud for years to come and, if Florida gets him, a much better Dman than either Kulikov or Gudbranson. It was the best pick you could make. Back to the draft...

True dat. I was surprised they threw so much money at Halak. He's a good starter, but $4.5m good? Luongo's deal really does look like a bargain when you look round the league at the Halaks, Backstroms, Wards and Millers out there. I'm amazed we ate any of his contract. Still hurts like mad that we treated him the way we did, never mind traded him for buttons AND retained a significant portion of his salary.
