Let's compare Reinhart to RNH since they have both come from the WHL. Reinhart put up noticeably better stats, is more physically mature, is more defensively responsible, and if he comes to the Canucks, he'll be mentored and be eased into the lineup. RNH put up 56 points last season. Reinhart will be better

There's a reason why he fell 17 spots he was projected to go. He was older than a lot of the draft eligibles and he lost a whole season of development. It's hard for somebody his size to thrive in the west. He obviously has the potential to be great, but we have the potential to get a 1c, and we can replace Shinkaruk with whatever comes back from the Kesler deal.

I don't agree with giving up Shinkaruk but we can probably afford to do so. Our middle will be set with Reinhart, Horvat, Gaunce, Lain, and Cassels. We have Jensen, Kassian on wing. We'll most likely get another 2-3 wingers if we trade Kesler to Anaheim. We could see Etem come our way and we can pick Virtanen up with the 10th pick. It isn't exactly beautiful but with a couple signings to patch things up, we'll have solid depth.

He's had 3 years of OHL experience and progressively got better. He knows how to deal with pressure. He's not going to turn into an Erik Johnson.

We don't have anyone who has the pure offensive capabilities Shinkaruk has. I would love to see how he does in the AHL next season. He could go to Florida and put up 30+ goals, or he could be a complete flop. He has a bigger chance to flop in the wild west though. No way we're giving up Shink and Tanev

They have about $23 million of space. Heatley definitely opens up a lot of space. I just hope once Kesler is gone, Canuck fans don't trash on him to feel good about the trade. He has done a lot for the team and is good around the community. I hope he wins the cup he's looking for.

2 gold medals, 2 stanley cups, norris finalist. Stamkos is one of the best, but the way Doughty elevated his game in this year's playoffs makes him just as valuable. That's just my opinion though

I'd say 2008 was pretty even. Stamkos and Doughty are 2 of the best in their positions. Not fair to say one is better than the other
