If you read the previous comments, you would know that Drouin does not spoon-feed him. They barely even play together. Mcdavid is surrounded by over-agers who are having massive seasons. Does that mean Mcdavid is a nothing? If anything, they learn from the over-agers. Ehlers gets to watch Drouin work magic every night and he takes that in. The reason why Mcdavid and Ehlers are highly touted despite the over-agers around them is because they have undeniable individual talent. Ehlers has individual talent and you're not making a clear point as to how Drouin affects Ehlers because it's been proven that he isn't being fed. He creates his own chances. I'll throw in another example. Horvat, Domi, Zadorov. They don't pump each others numbers and were all first rounders. Scouts barely factor in numbers. They look at the way a player plays. So in conclusion, why does it matter if they play together?
